That's a tricky one. Optimization often goes hand-in-hand with the software being used, so a place like this will address DP-specific issues. Same is true for the Logic forum and any other forum dedicated to a specific bit of software.

There are general sites and forums where some answers and great articles can be found, such as:

Macfixit.com
Appleinsider.com
osxaudio.com--- now http://www.bigbluelounge.com/forums/index.php
http://emusician.com/
mixonline.com
http://www.soundonsound.com/

Other places of great use for me are:
macworld.com
macrumors.com

...and thanks to Google:

Unfortunately OSXaudio has faded into irrelevance.
The site owner doesn't have time to keep the site up, but at the same time he wants to "expand" into PC coverage. Go figure

Could be true. Still, I manage to find some useful info there from members from time to time.

It probably supports my hunch that really *good* Mac musician sites are quite rare. We'll just have to make one ourselves!

Here is one with great potential. It just needs more readers:

It isn't a forum, but this article on optimizing OS X for audio still works for me.

If I may chime in here... I'm new here, but I've been on other forums. It's a pleasant surprise to witness the volume of useful replies and relevant information compared to other forums. Granted, the subject matter is obviously limited to MOTU related topics, but I just thought I'd share that I've been very happy with what this forum has going on. I'll definitely chip in my 100 cents.

Thanks.

Hey T!

That's the reason I joined here ages ago when U-nation had a different look (went down for quite a while).

The vibe around here continues to blow me away along with the things I learn from others. The people are just plain cool-- so WELCOME to the family, my friend. Make yourself at home.

Set a spell.
Take your shoes off.
..and don't be a stranger! :P

Hey I appreciate that. I thougth I'd chime in here and say that in my mind limited subject matter of UnicorNation is precisely what makes it so useful. This was my intention. As the best way to really have good information is to specialize. The other thing that makes this place so useful is so many of the great people here who contribute and are willing to share their knowledge with others.
