Wouldn't it be great to have a guide to go from one sequencer app to another? If somebody had a SVPro to DP book/video/webpage, I'd pay for it!

Do you mean a step by step guide to compare analogous features in different DAWs and where to find them in each app, such as "Digital Performer for Pro Tools Users"? (not that such a book or website knowingly exists...)

It would be nice to have a side-by-side list of how certain specific tasks are done in different apps in one location.

yes...

...that's exactly what I mean. What a bummer to go from an app I knew like the back of my hand to DP, which has a VERY different gui and layout than anything from Opcode.

I actually was trying to put something like this together with some help from the other apps forums over on OS X Audio, but a lack of time kept me from ever finishing anything. It's a great idea...

Hey guys,

I would pay hard - earned pay money for that. DP is my main system, but I am constantly working with others who use different platforms. When working with PT guys, I think I have now mastered the art of interchanging the words "Session" and "Project". "Consolidate" and "Merge" are another good pair.

It would be very cool, for example, to have a quick nav guide to something like Nuendo or Sonar. We DP vets don't need to have the basics of audio recording or file management explained. Just stuff like "how do add markers", "how do you set up a loop", "how do you add multiple fades to a track with lots of edits" ... things like that.

Best regards,
Erik
