How Do I Reset the 896HD?

I can't find it in the manual.

is this possible? to re-set the factory firmware?

my 896HD stopped being recognised by my PC & MAC for no reason at all.

any ideas?

Did you use the 64 bit windows driver? That driver fried the firewire on both my 896HD and 828mkII. Both units had been working in the system for a year but after upgrading to XP 64 and installing the driver the units would not work in any other systems. One unit was exchanged by MoTU...the other is still under repair.
