Hello folks - Can you help

Have recently upgraded from recording in OS9 DP3 and 2408 mkII
to Ultralite and DP5.
My system is G4 tower 1 GB processer 1GB RAM.
I also added the UA powered plugs.

OS9 ran seemlessly - but the new set-up is jerky and hard to operate.
I have taken what I think to be all the steps to reduce load on CPU.
and talked to Dave at MOTU about it...but no solution.

In the Performance meter in DP5 it is only showing a 25% load and is still jerky.

just so you know

I trashed widgets.
Set audio hardware in DP to 1024 buffer - medium priority - took out plugs.

(BTW - this is a project I opened from and original DP3 session)

Can you help with this problem
Is my system too lite to handle all the new stuff?
Must complete project...but don't want to go back to OS9.

Thanks for your insights

MM

I don't know which OS X you're using.
But iSightAudio.plugin (Libary->Audio->Plug-ins->HAL) before Tiger (10.4) is usually the culprit.
If you don't need it, take it out.
