Tiger on my system a MASSIVE improvment!

On my G5 2.5 w/8 gig ram I got the following improvements:
Available memory - huge increase. The OS now sees all 8 gig of ram, where in Panther it only saw 4 gig. I can load over 3 gigs of samples into Mach Five and it loads literally twice as fast. The Virtual Memory cap for DP is still 3.5 gig, but the huge gap that used to exist between Real Memory and Virtual Memory is sharply reduced.
CPU useage - WAY down. I don't know why this is, but when I play a 10 voice pad with long releases in MX4 the CPU meter is about half where it was in Panther. Same with large polyphony assignments in Mach Five.
All my plugins and VI's work. (Altiverb 5, URS Classic Console EQ's, all Sonalksis plugs, Amplitube, PSP 84 & Nitro, all OhmForce, TriTone Digital, all MOTU, all Spectrasonics - including running RMX with VST Wrapper for multi-outputs.)
PACE ilok works - (URS, MachFive, MX4, Ativerb5 use ilok)
Other audio programs - Barbabatch 4, AudioFinder, Audio Hijack, Recycle 2.1, Abelton Live 4.1.1 - all working.
Expose- remember how hitting F9 in DP caused all the AU plugins and the Consolidated window to mutliply by 2? No more.
Booting, launching, saving, shut-down, restart - all much faster.
I don't notice as big a difference in the GUI, although window resizing seems smoother and basic scrolling in all DP windows is noticeably faster.
I did the basic "update" installation, from 10.3.9. The only issue I had was I couldn't Shut-down or Restart my computer. The problem was caused by the QuickBack startup item installed by my SpeedTools utility set. I just removed it and all is well. (Thank you Apple Tiger discussions forum for that info!)
I don't know if G4 users would see this big a difference, but on my G5 - holy crap. Now, all that glowing assessment aside, I haven't given it a thorough beating yet. That will be after the weekend is over.
