Hi guys,

It seems alot of you might be having problems with AT 2 in DP. If you are can you email me directly with this information below so we can compile a list of users who have problems.

Please send me

OS version
DP version
General system info
Audio/MIDI hardware
Syncrosoft LLC version #

Give me an exact list of what happens, I load DP, then go to a stereo track, etc.

Please include a crash log if you happen to get one.

Thanks
Jason Williams

At least they are asking for feedback. Many don't.

BTW my bet is that it is almost certainly a Syncrosoft issue. Though the ridiculously high CPU usage is probably down to bloated IK code.

Unfortantely realism comes at a price, the price is CPU. Saying the code is bloated is alittle extreme I think. Have you tried turning off the oversampling modes?

Jason,

Dual 2.0GHz, 1.5Gb RAM, 44.1, 24 bit, OS X 10.4.6. In Tracktion, Cubase and Live (because it causes DP to hang when scanning the plug-in) I get pops, dropouts and crackles even at intolerably high latency. NI Guitar Rig 2 runs fine at 96 / 24 bit with latency down to 256 samples. Oversampling on or off doesn't make a difference. I might also add that it is the only plugin I have which performs so badly including the entire NI Komplete suite and your own Sampletank and Miroslav Philharmonik. AT2 looks great but forgive me if I think that it's performance is a poor show. Unfortunately, due to IK policy on license transfer, I can't even sell it again due to it's unsuitability (unlike NI, MOTU, etc).

However, like I said earlier, at least IK is attempting to garner user input on the problem.

Regards

David

I just got an E-mail from Jason at Ik stating that the problem with AT2 is suspected to be the Syncrosoft key. I haven't yet had a chance to try the little test he gave me but I'll let you know more later. Dan

Looks like the users who actually buy the product
have to pay the price again, because of copy-protection...
This is rediculous.
