Type not showing up in M5

Cannot see names of Performance, Soundbank, Preset in
upper left portion of MachFive interface, nor in the
Parts section below. I downloaded the 1.2.3 update,
but it's still not visible. If I hold down the mouse,
I can see my choices, but once selected, they are not
visible in any of the windows.
I am using DP 4.61 on a G4/1.25-dual w/ 1.75G RAM on 10.4.5 (Tiger) OS.

Been there, done that...
Search the forum for your answer. It's in here somewhere. I'd point you to it if I had more time... sorry. Some sort of font missing as I recall. If you reinstall from the program CD it should all come back... but do check the previous messages here.

MIDI Life... thank you so much! i had been looking all over this forum for about a week and couldn't find anything, but didn't think to search under keyword "font"! Anyway, I found the post and situation exactly like mine. Fix was simple... I had installed the M5 1.2.3 update, but didn't know that you had to throw away the old MAS plug-in from the audio library (update doesn't overwrite)!
All is well in Digi-land! At least for tonight!
Thanks, again.

I just installed the update, which has been sitting on my hard drive for months. Same thing happened to me! I'm sure glad this thread was here. You'd think MOTU could have put a note in there or something.

They did. It says: 'All software sold as is and not necessarily useful for the purpose intended.'
Not to demean M5. I love it. But you'd think some of the bugs might get some attention in the FAQs... Better to admit your mistakes and fix them than to be in denial. But we're not supposed to talk politics. I'm sure MOTU has made 1000's of mistakes... "speaking figuratively..." (Condi Rice-a-Wrongy)

hi,
having the same problem but the M5 1.2.3 installer warned me that previous versions of the various plug-ins would be deleted with the install.
i tried trashing "MACH5 MAS bundle" but then M5 came up missing when i booted DP.
any further advice?
thanks.
