Let us know how it goes. We may need 10.3.9 for a good long while after Tiger shows up.

It seems that the problems with the absurd fan accelerations in the dual G5's seem to have been resolved.

Why are they releasing 10.3.9 so close to Tiger? Maybe some new hardware is about to be released?

I think because some won't update beyond this.
Maybe?

No! Despite everyone always saying updates make DP snappier, I never see a difference. ...you guys are lucky there's no 'smack' emoticon.

So how is it ?
Is it working fine ? Anyone here using Kontakt 2.01.
I upgraded to Kontakt2 the other day and also
using DP4.52 and I`m really worried if its going to
work right . Because I don`t want to
go through the Registration process because
I have alot of NI products. Its a pain when the
System ID changes when you do the reinstall of the OS....
BTW , I`m on an MDD 1GHz Dual,
Using DP4.52, Kontakt2.01&Kompakt Based
Sample Libraries from East West.

If you backup and restore it stores the existing files from current user in a separate folder so you can move them back to the new user folder item by item.
I would backup the main library folder too then just move the old plug/vst, prefs etc. back to same location on new system library and user plugs folder thus no reinstall required and all the plugs are done at the same time.

Just to clarify. Updating 10.3.8 to 10.3.9 will require you to reauthorize you NI stuff or it might require you to? I haven't had to do this yet with other OS updates. I understand the workaround you're speaking of. Don't know why I'd have to reauthorize on this particular update when it hasn't been a problem in the past, that's all.
