Hi all, Just updated to 4.6 and am having some wierd things are happening. whenever I add a new audio track (mono or stereo) there isn't a record enable button in the track. have I set up something wierd in preferences? It doesn't matter if I have 1 or 10 audio tracks. MIDI tracks work fine. I'm using a Pro Tools Digi 001 as my main audio source. Help

Check the following:
Make sure you are looking at the Tracks Window for a currently play-enabled chunk. If you use multiple chunks, record-enable buttons are only available on a currently play-enabled chunk.
Make sure the input and output assignments of the track are not in italics. If they are italicized, re-assign.
Make sure the track has an audio voice enabled. The default vouce assignment is Automatic. Depending on how many tracks are already in the sequence, you may have to increase the number of available voices in the Studio Size dialog.

And if that doesn't work, you might check your Audio/MIDI setup (Applications/Utilities or from within DP) and make sure your audio device is online. OS updates are notrious for wacking your FW connections. If you also updated the OS, you might have to reinstall the drivers.
I don't get that as often with my M-Audio stuff any more and I think MOTU just released new hardware drivers.

I had the same problem and figured out that I needed to go to the configure studio settings and add more tracks.
