Nor in the promo videos or on the website, where it’s described as a tool for performance and for “inspiration”. Something to look forward to I suppose.

MIDI quantize window - there's a bug where the 'preview' box disappears when you play the sequence. Re-appears when you stop. Seems to still preview the quantization even though you can't see it...

I bothered to call Tech Support on this. So with this one he was willing to admit that it's a currently missing feature that will be added in a future DP10 update cycle! :) The workaround is to send tracks you're using in Clips to busses, then record the busses on audio tracks.

Not as conclusive of an answer about the velocity bars on MIDI notes, at least the tech I talked to wasn't aware of an immanent fix like with Clips.

VST3 and 2 can both be instantiated according to MOTU tech, which is good considering the amount of VST3s that failed evaluation on my system.

Yeah, that was the #1 thing I was hoping for as well. Wireless remote control has become a huge part of my tracking workflow, and all the kludges with 3rd party iOS apps are just that: kludges.

I did a project a couple weeks ago where I tracked in Logic. Apple's Logic Control app is just fantastic, so clearly it CAN be done. I suppose I could do all my tracking in Logic and then export to DP to edit & mix...

Will also probably hold off on upgrading until this gets addressed. Sigh.

Yup, I'm joelmusic... and after I bought it, the confirmation screen thought I was Scott
So out of curiosity, did you log in to MOTU this morning? I wonder if it is inheriting the last user who logged in? That should surely be of concern to MOTU. It shows a different name every time I log in but repeats the name used for that session.
I just tried logging in @ MOTU.com - it auto-filled as me (joelmusic), password and all - maybe they're fixing it...

IT filled in my name and Safari filed in my p/w but it still takes three attempts to get in. Fortunately, I have nothing to report to MOTU about.. lol

Pretty stable for a point-o version I'd say! Bugs so far for me:

- Constrain modifier (shift-dragging) not constraining when dragging between tracks in the SE
- Split Notes causing crashes
- Intermittent white blocks when GUI is scaled
- Quantize Preview box disappears on Play
- Intermittent spontaneous Spaces/desktop switching

I'll send these to MOTU. I'd be curious if any/everyone else is seeing them. ...Someone reported MIDI track name changes in the SE aren't showing up in the ME. I'm not having this problem.

Found a rather useful new key command. "Zoom to Track". It makes the selected track huge in the SE. ....gone however is "Zoom to Active Soundbite". FYI

And clearly they can do it too. All you have to do is look at all the work they did for Touch Console on the AVB boxes. When I'm singing, I stand far away and facing away from the computer, so remote control is a big deal for me. I'm bummed about them leaving this out as well.

For others who got the "error retrieving keycode" message for MOTU Instruments:

If you haven't already, create a Tech Link. They responded to mine in less than an hour today.

I emailed Customer Service yesteday about that, and also about the glitch where I saw someone else's info on the "sale completed" page. I still haven't heard back.

Today I called, but after 15 minutes on hold, decided to try the Tech Link. Glad I did!

I've been wanting that for years. That and aux faders in the mixer like in Pro Tools (both full-size pop-up ones and mini ones). PT gets a bad rap from some folks around here, but after being "forced" to work on it for a big project for a couple of years, I like it (though I hate the subscription model).

Has anyone tried out the Clips functionality yet? I'm pretty interested in this, after hearing how awesome Abelton is from people who use it.

Just waiting for MOTU to send through my new serial number since I only bought DP 9.5 a week and bit ago!

I think I saw mentioned in another thread that DP hasn't previously supported direct hardware monitoring integration with the newer MOTU AVB audio interfaces. Can anyone confirm that this is that case, and know if DP 10 resolves this? This functionality is a big part of the reason I went for a complete MOTU setup.
