Anyone know if a crossgrade to DP5 right now would qualify me for a free upgrade to DP6 when it comes out? When you crossgrade, do you get to retain your original software as well?

Check with MOTU, but I'm pretty sure a crossgrade is treated by MOTU like any purchase, so the answer would be yes, you'd get DP6 for free. And I'm pretty sure there's nothing keeping you from using your original software as well. Of course the idea is that you won't want to...

I crossgraded from Cubase to DP4.61, about a week before MOTU announced DP5!

MOTU were really cool about it and sent me a copy of DP5 before even some of the shops here in Australia were stocking it. Also, they only need a copy of your registration of the other software. I still have full access to Cubase, and I've used it about twice since I got DP two years ago.

So I don't think you've got anything to worry about.

I just upgraded to DP5 after upgrading to leopard and asked MOTU this question. If you purchase 5 after 1/1/8 you will receive 6 for free when available.

Is this legit, or are you just stretching your psychic appendages?

Make MIDI pitchbend go to +/- 8192
Not +/- 8064
I don't want to make 0,984375 step bends

Is this a Haiku?
No - needs five, seven, five form!
But gripe still valid.

True. I was there at 1:30 AM EST and it was weirding out on me - when it never does. But just because the webdesigner is prepared, doesn't mean the company is - take it from a web designer. :)
