Dear MIXOSAURUS Users and Friends,

Great News for all present and future KIT A owners: the release of the v1.2 Update!

This Update adds the two Snare Drums of the upcoming KIT B to the current KIT A package! A full 11 GB of MIXOQUALITY Sound and Expression, it contains the mighty 14"x6.5" TAMA Starclassic Bubinga Snare Drum (muffled version, with EVANS ST Dry / Hazy300 heads) and the ultimately crack-y 14"x4" TAMA Brass Snare Drum (no muffling, with Evans G1 / Hazy300 heads). These two drums compliment the original KIT A Snare, further extending the range of sounds in both the lower and the upper spectrum (more info and audio examples on MIXOSAURUS.com).

So - from now on, MIXOSAURUS KIT A features THREE Snare Drums of the highest quality you've ever experienced in sampling:
Electronic Musician's 'Editor's Choice' winner as best 'Sounds' product in 2009.

Very best regards and a Happy New NAMMuary!
Uwe

Hello everybody,

Lots of News this time:

End of Introductory Prices: The time has come - March 15th will finally mark the end of KIT A's Introductory Price Period. Until that day you can grab the World's Best Virtual Drumset for its current price and make your move to Software Drum Gratification a Steal:
Compared to the full prices that will be in effect on March 15th, the current prices mean a discount of roughly 38% - and they won't come back.
Visit http://www.MIXOSAURUS.com to read the details. If you ever wanted to bring your virtual drum tracks to life, NOW is the time to Hop On Board!

New Dealers in the Netherlands - and a LIVE Presentation! We're happy to announce that Helios and Maarten's Sound & Vision have hopped on board as MIXO Resellers. On March 5th, Helios will host a LIVE Presentation of KIT A at Bullet Sound Studios. I'll be demonstrating KIT A together with one of the Netherlands' top drummers, Ton Dijkman, who will be playing KIT A live via a Yamaha TDXtreme e-drumset. If you live in the Netherlands, be sure to attend!
(rumour alert: I've heard that there will be some kind of giveaway... yet to be confirmed though ;) )

More video stuff: We've received requests to put the tutorial videos from MIXOSAURUS.com on YouTube (some people seem to have problems viewing *.mov files), so we did. Check out our videos on the MIXOCHANNEL.

Hello everybody,

two new videos showing KIT A being played live via e-drums:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j7cSPZGkPCo" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

http://www.youtube.com/MIXOCHANNEL#p/a/f/0/nz2b78eo1zI" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

The second one was shot during last week's presentation at the Netherlands' HELIOS PRO AUDIO in Haarlem. One of the visitors was Robert-Jan Van Schoonacker, a drummer and drum teacher from Hillegom, and he sat down at the V-Drum kit (with drum & cymbal pads by Hart) to put KIT A to the test.

Note that this was the first time ever he played KIT A - this is how it reacts to a drummer's playing from the start, with no prior "getting used to the dynamic response"!

The sound is the live room sound captured by the camera's built-in mic.

Cheers,
Uwe

PS - Only 4 days left before KIT A finally shakes off its introduction price tag! More on MIXOSAURUS.com

Why don't you guy's post some audio on your site instead of going to the iTunes store? If I want to hear those artist I'll do it on my own. I want to hear the kit's by themselves not in a mix done on a commercial tune... who knows what could have been used! :roll:

Just to be clear...Sweetwater and zzounds seem to have it at:

Mixosaurus Kit A External Drum Library
New $799.95

So that is the current 38% discount price?...and if my morning math is working, the non-discounted price will be around $1,295?

Sorry if sophomoric!

Hi Newrigel,

Thanks for your interest! Hmmm I'm not sure what you mean - the MIXOSAURUS.com homepage is actually full of audio. There's full music mixes as well as drums only, and for some of the demos you can even download the individual mic tracks to check those out (and/or do some mixing yourself). If you like to listen to MIXO, just click LISTEN and there you are... select a demo from the list on the right and then click on the audio links that appear at center (if there's no further choice to be made then the audio starts immediately). Doesn't this work over there?

-------

Buzzy,

I'm sorry to have missed your question - you were absolutely correct. Sweetwater's price is $ 1249.99 now (Full Box version).

-------

MOTUNATION,

it's my great pleasure and honour to introduce you to our latest - and very special - MIXOFAN. Check this out: http://www.MIXOSAURUS.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Kindest regards,
Uwe
