Yes, it's work fine under TIGER but the procedure is different with Preview to change icon .

Ok, when I get a chance, I'll make a real icon out of it. Which icons do you need?

Thanx Sooshie. So sweet of you.
Gold Complete and Mellow I use the most.

Just DL'd Mellow for the first time... Those Pan knobs are killer!!!!

If I want to add that kind of shading to your other mods do I take the following file?:

"kMixingBoardAutomationBackgroundIconSet_PictID.png"

You can definitely try that but the shading and look of it might not fit every mod well. But by all means, experiment, find what works.

I answered my own question by just taking the file and throwing it in pixelmator for a quick edit!

I have tried this according to instructions in the video, without any luck. My Icons still have a box around them. Darn!

I'm curious...

I've never messed with the Polar graphics in any of my mods, and noone has EVER complained about it. Which causes me to beg the question...

Is anyone actually using Polar any more? I've never used it ONCE in all my years of DP. I'm sure *someone* is, right?

I still use it every so often. It's an under-appreciated feature.
There are some plugins that you haven't addressed and I just figured that Polar is one of them.

Clicking on this link will download a folder containing the icons for all of Amplidude's mods, all in files that can easily be installed in OSX without causing a "box" around the round icon. In other words, they are true icon files, and will always have transparency around the edges. They've been tested on Tiger and Snow Leopard. I can only assume that they work on Leopard and Panther and other versions of OSX.

In addition, below is a link for a quick video on the "coolest, fastest way to install an icon" in Snow Leopard, along with the regular way for Tiger. The new way is definitely a step forward in OSX. Just drag and drop your icon file on the little icon in the Get Info window.

Installation Instructions

There. That should cover it for every one of Andy's mods at this time. 19 Genuine Icon files, and video instructions for installing them.

Oh, and you asked how to make an icon. The only way I know how to make an actual icon file is with IconBuilder, a Photoshop plugin available at http://iconfactory.com/software/iconbuilder" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;.

This work for anyone? Now that I've got it going, I'll be able to do shades to match the other mods.
