Cool!
I tried more reddish rust tones and they really don't work unless you can texturize them. The more browns you infuse, the easier it is on the eyes for a background color. I wish it was possible to texturize more areas, but hey, at least they made some of the these parameters accessible finally.

I've been using Oxidation since my last post in this thread, and it is simply inspired! (and similarly inspiring!)

Even though I was on my way out the door to run an errand, I couldn't tear myself away from it, so I worked on a couple of movements that have been sitting in various states of disarray for the past year, and now I almost have them under control! To commemorate Oxidation, I'll post these two rusty sax quartet movements in the state I've left them in today while using the new mod.

Glazounov: Canzona
Glazounov: Variation 1

Thank you so much for the beautiful new look for DP. Oh, and by the way, some great color schemes exist for it already: Pottery, Van Gogh, Shades of Gray, Pastels 1 (for a "Southwestern" look), and probably others. It's amazing how well those mentioned harmonize with this. You hit a home run right out of the park, Amplidude!

So far, I like that very much.
Sleek is my #1 and use all of the time. I think this one will take sleek's place, though.
I thank you for the hard work you're putting into this.
It is greatly appreciated,

Adriano

Great job on Oxidized Amp! I keep jumping between Ox/GoldComp/Overcast. They're all works of art. Once again, thanks!

This new Mellow vibe is very intriguing... For some reason I started to imagine a kind of 'Modern' look... Simple and relaxed (like mellow) but with greys and blues. Sounds like a homage to OSX doesn't it... Maybe I'm having subconscious cravings for the Simple mod :) . I vote for Simple to get a face lift so that it has the quality of these last couple of mods.

Hope my ramblings are of some use

After having installed the Oxi one, I've started to think it would be nice to have a DP "blade runner" version. I don't know why I thought about that and I don't have an idea where to start from for something like that, maybe a mix between Oxi and Night perhaps … but more I think about it and more I feel it could be interesting.

What a coincidence; also hesitate between these two versions (Night & Oxy) _

You should experiment, then! You can take some files from one and some from the other and see what happens!

Two reasons I can't do it … no time in these days and not enough talent to do that. When I said "a mix between Oxi and Night" I meant blend and not patchwork. I hope this wish could be interpreted by Andy some day and as hint I could reminds some BR elements:

1- black gun with red led
2- the office when it shows the owl
3- the road with the sushi bar and the umbrella's neon
4- Harrison Ford picture scanners
5- Harrison Ford home
6- the pyramid where the replicant company has the office

Well, that's it :)

I'm really glad you are all enjoying Oxidized. I feel like yet again I learned a whole new level of techniques while doing it. Hopefully that trend will continue!!

Here's the Mellow mixer....these colors really work for me.

I just looked in my dock and noticed that I have FIVE of your mods in there. That doesn't include the ones from 7.02. Back in another folder, I have at least 5 others.

It's irresistible. Like candy baskets or something. But I'm settled into Rust pretty well. I LOVE it. I may add some color to the Shortcuts Icons, but other than that, this thing is right up my alley. I still love Gold and Jade, and occasionally I will use Night for playing files at night when I've got the lights off, and so on. I think Night would be great for back-stage.

In fact, my only complaint EVER about using DP onstage, backstage, or in the pit on tours was that it was too bright. Never failed or skipped a beat. Never crashed or hung. Perfect performance -- 100% reliability record. Just too bright. As long as we have the AmpMods, we don't have to worry about that anymore.

Seriously, Oxidation has become the ideal mod for me. It's just what I need, and it works well with track colors that are easy on the eyes, which I enjoy working with. I couldn't be happier with it.

Your posts always put a smile on my face, man. I'm going to make that the byline of my website..

"AMPGUIMODS.COM - Like candy baskets or something."

Never thought you'd be torn away from Gold. But I'm sure it's just puppy love right now right?

I set up a pretty major artist in the Christian market *years* ago with a live DP setup for her gigs. She still uses it to this day. There is *not one* DAW that has features to accomplish this task as easily and foolproof..ly? The day I showed her what she could do with it, she about fainted. Rearrange the chunks for each set, chain them for continuous play if needed, leave out the guitars submix for the Miami show, etc. etc. If only back then DP could change looppoints without losing playback (like it does now), we might have had to break out the smelling salts.

I agree, I use night green on my show rig, it's perfect for low lighting situations.
