The Mirage. That's the one we had in a band I was in for a while. It had the the sample I was looking for. It had a two digit hexadecimal display and 8 bit samples, but it had "the sound".

Indeed. In its day it was THE gear to have. Then those damn Fairlights came out and ruined it for everybody. Lol

SampleTank 4 CS is out

Post by mikehalloran »

SampleTank 4 CS was released a few weeks ago and comes with 4G of libraries.
https://www.ikmultimedia.com/products/st4cs/

I was putting off upgrading to ST4 since it had nothing I wanted but when ST3 crashed DP this evening, I knew it was time... I had my wallet out when I found out this Free version was released 3 weeks ago.

Anyway, SampleTank 4 CS (Custom Shop) runs my older paid IK, ST3 and Miroslav libraries. When I fired it up, it found all my libraries and built the directory automatically. :woohoo:

A heads up: ST4 is way different than previous versions. A pass through this video told me everything I needed to know for this evening and saved me a lot of time hunting for what I needed.

I haven’t tried it in Catalina yet. Tomorrow...

Because you know you need another reverb/delay/effect/thingy. Actually it is very nice and musical, and it requires NO personal or contact info!

You beat me to it, mate.

Heads-up for everyone:
It doesn't appear in your account-downloads section, whereas Valhalla SpaceModulator, which is also free if you fill out a survey and have bought previously from the company, does.

So, best to save the link to the plugin's page for quick future version-checking and downloads.

No worries, Phil.

Of course you'll have had to have bought a plugin from the company previously, as I mentioned. Once you fill out the survey, it should appear in your account.

Spitfire Labs

Post by bayswater »

I got a notification about the addition of "Granular Whalesong" to these sample. Finally got around to having a look at it, and saw there were at least a dozen more new libraries in the free LABS series that I didn't see in any notifications. It's worth having a look via the Spitfire Audio app if you haven't done that recently.

Snagged it. That's pretty nice.

If you click on the Freebies link, you'll see that there are now 11. Some are quite useful such as Harmonette while others are just whack such as Kitchen and Keyboard (among the samples are the sound of an unplugged keyboard). Someone has quite the sense of humor.

I've bought from them before. If you need a Schoenhut sample, their Toy Piano nails it for $25.
