DP8 will not need a "patch." The whole issue is Waves 9 is Cocoa and DP7 is not. I don't see this as a Waves issue at all- were they supposed to wait until MOTU modernized it's code before upgrading their line to 64-bit?

And re WUP: As noted earlier, Waves revised it's system so that now no matter how out of date you are, it will be a max of $200 to get up-to-date, and that includes all of the newer plug-ins that have been added to your bundles since the last time you were up-to-date. Not a bad deal at all.
Good to know Gary! And I've been WUP'ing my Waves plugs as they get towards expiration. Doesn't really cost much and you get Vouchers!

Are you updated to 9.1? Although not officially supported in DP7, it is working fine for many.

There is no trick. Waves 9 does not officially work in DP7.24.

Let's get a reality check here, shall we? Aside from a few questionable
"new" plugs, there is nothing in Waves 9 that is essential to music production. In fact, I can't even think of a reason to get any of the "new" plug-ins.

DP 7.24 is not 64-bit. Therefore, no advantage to running a 64-bit plug-in
in DP 7.24.

So I gotta ask - why are you even trying to run Waves V9 in DP?
