Go to the help menu and select 'New Features in DP 7'. This opens a pdf file which contains 'New Features in DP 7.2' (as well as all the preceding 'new features' info, all in one document). It explains all the new features, including live search.

How Does it works? I looked in Preferences but nothing ...
If the Soundbites window is sized particularly small (easy to do if it's in the consolidated window sidebar), there won't be enough space for the search box and thus it's not displayed. If you make the Soundbites window bigger, do you see it?

Wow. I LOVE THIS.

The "themes" thing is hugely impactful to me. Aesthetics affect your mood!

THANKS, MOTU!!

Do it.

Thanks for the push/encouragement. I've certainly been very pleased with this 'classic' 2.16 intel machine (liked it so well I bought a companion MacBook), and perhaps Snow Leopard would tide me well until the next gen iMacs or such with USB 3.0 and 3200 FW.

At the same time, I always feel like I'm getting a discount on my next machine if I can hold out purchasing OS's.

It certainly would be ....much....cheaper short run, I'll grant you!! And times being what they are.....

This is no small proclamation. "Officially" and "probably" are two very different and two very significant adjectives which users might want to take to heart to proceed accordingly and properly and carefully.

... and may there be no confusion with "probably" and "should".

MOTU has seriously made me laugh out loud while I'm on my own in the studio.

This is a tremendous feat.

I seriously laughed out loud. Like, for real. Not internet verncacular "LOL" (which is usually insincere or certainly not literal) but actually laughing out loud.

"MOTools" was a fantastic move on their part.

This is a great day.

p.s. Side note: I'm surprised it's legal to emulate the look of another DAW so exactly. But this shows how little I understand about trademarks and intellectual property. But maybe this falls under the umbrella of "parody," which is protected speech? I don't know. I'm just glad they did it. It seriously gave me the giggles.

"MOTools" looks great actually! It's one of the better skins and very usable really.

Yes, thank you, you're right. This work fine with a with a wider Soundbites windows.
