Indeed, for $20 it is a no brainer. I had none of the download problems that others have suffered with (thankfully) but it's acting weird in a couple of ways. Here's what I just sent to Steven Slate but if anybody here can help I'd be grateful.
I have the folder "Steven Slate Drums EX Library" installed at the top level of a second internal drive called "Sounds". (In other words it's not in "Users/Shared".) The SSD Library Icon is not present under the "Libraries Tab" in Kontakt 3.5, as described on page 13 of the manual. When I click "Add Library" and navigate to the folder "Steven Slate Drums EX Library" and hit "Choose" I get the following error message: "No library found".
I can load multis from the "Files" tab in Kontakt (next to the "Libraries" tab) but every time I do, I get a message that samples are missing, usually a small number, say, 13 or 15 or so. I then hit "Browse for files", navigate to "Steven Slate Drums EX_info.nkx" (everything else is grayed out), hit "Choose" and the multi loads. Even if I delete and reload the same multi right away I get the "15 files could not be found" message again. How do I fix all this? I have already done the "Database/Rebuild DB" thing in Kontakt.
Thanks

Here's what you do -
Make sure you are using the latest update of your version of Kontakt.
Launch Kontakt, then when the GUI appears, click on the "Options" tab (the "gear" icon). On the left sidebar, select "Database"and make sure the drive/folder where you put the SSD drums is listed, if not, click "Add" and navigate to that drive/folder and add it, then click "Update".
Kontakt will go through the update process, and then finish and the main multi window will be blank.
Now go to the Libraries tab, you should see Steven Slate Drums listed. If not, then you can always go to the "Files" tab and navigate to it manually.
Regarding the "missing samples" deal - that's an easy fix. Load a kit (I assume it's a .nkm file), and when you get the "Samples Missing" message, choose "Skip Missing" and the file should load. Then you have to click on the "Files" tab at the top part of the window, and choose "Save As" from that. When the next window appears, select "patch only" and then save, you'll get the "overwrite" message and you click ok. Do this for every .nkm file that loads with the "samples missing" message.
The most important part of this is doing the "Save As" with "patch only" selected, for each of the multis you load.

Tried many times with Safari and firefox and igetter. oh well, it's not like I need any more drum samples anyway. I got many libs of drums samples, but I prolly wont buy from either of the two parties ever again.
I'd suggest you contact them and give them a chance to help you. I contacted them twice and both times they answered promptly.

too much b.s. at any price,I canceled the order with Audiomidi, the person I talked to seemed to be ready for the cancellation.
I think there are more customers having issues with this dl/ server issue than we might be realizing.

That's really too bad. You know, because these AudioMidi deals have been so good to me, I decided to use them to pull the trigger on buying EZ Player Pro. They were 10 bucks cheaper than ToonTrack. I purchased yesterday and when I got to the studio this morning, my serial number was waiting. The instructions they sent me to download EZPP were wrong however, so I called them and had it all fixed in about 2 mins flat.
Ultimately, guess what I'm saying is, after using AudioMidi 6 times in the past 5 months, I have yet to have a prob. I'll call myself lucky, but I got absolutley no probs shoppin' with em in the future.

I have no problem w/ audiomidi ,I have bought from them many times they are very good it is the SSD promotion and the size of the dl/server issues that i do not have patience for.

Hi David:
Regarding the missing library, I've done all that more than once and I still cant get it to appear. I've clicked "Options", added the appropriate folder, rebuilt the data base and it still doesnt appear under the "Libraries" tab. Then, when I try "Add Library" I get that error message. I can get at it from "Files" but that's more cumbersome (since there's a whole bunch of stuff in that section which is not Kontakt related; too much to look at) and I'd like to get it added under "Libraries".
And regarding the missing samples; Yes I can hit "Skip Missing" and save accordingly, but I want it to find the missing samples, dont I? Otherwise I'm loading incomplete instruments into the multi, no?
Thanks

Someone posted on MOTU-MAC that he had to end up installing the Slate Library in the default location to get it to work. Of course you might try using an alias in the default location to see if you can trick it. Dunno.

Yes I thought about that James, the same way you do it with RMX. I'l give it a try.

i'm very new to Kontakt and don't know what I'm doing, but I put mine in a very un-default location and it came right up. If I knew what I did I would tell you.
I keep all my samples organized by my own system, so not only did I not put it in the default, or with the other Kontakt samples (which aren't default either), but I put them in with my drum collection samples.

Dave Polich and others: I have the same problem--I simply cannot reach the server drumclassroom.net. Steven Slate support told me to write to
Jesse Dean <jesse@stevenslate.com> (note email address: not stevenslate
drums.com) and ask for a hard copy to be mailed. Sure enough, Jesse replied and said a copy will be shipped to me.

Well, loading from files may be cumbersome, but if it works - it works.
I have a few libraries that don't show up in the Kontakt Libraries window,
so I have to navigate to them under the Files window - no big deal.
If the number of "missing samples" is in the thousands - yes, that's a problem. But even a couple of hundred missing from thousands of samples -
in real life, I've never found that to be a problem.

Got it!
For others who may be getting similar problems, this, from Steven Slate solved the missing samples thing.......
Make sure all the "instruments" folders you downloaded are placed into a
"samples" folder and that everything associated with our software is in a
single folder called "SSD EX library" or something like that. Then, open
kontakt in standalone mode and click the disk icon at the top of the
screen. Scroll down to "batch re-save." A warning window will come up
but just click ok. Next, locate your Steven Slate Drums EX folder that
contains all of your samples, documentation, instruments, multis, etc and
hit "choose." Let kontakt load and if any "samples missing errors" occur,
just click "browse for folder" and select the folder where those files are
located. When it has completed, close and re-open kontakt and the problem
should be solved.
Frankly I dont understand the first sentence, but I just followed the instructions starting, "Then, open kontakt......" and it worked.
As for the "Library" thing, I noticed that the Kontakt library info consists two files; .nkc, and .nkx, whereas SSD had just the .nkc. I found the .nkx file buried in the "Samples" folder, moved it up to the same level as the .nkc and now it works.
I'm so proud of myself I just had to share

I'm interested in this deal. Will it include the SSD player or do I need a version of Kontakt? Will these sounds work in Stylus rmx or Drumcore maybe? Thanks
