I'll have a look, but unless it's indexed I've a feeling it'd be tricky to find.
FWIW, nothing is indexed on my 'puter.
jgest wrote:No dragon force, but i'll admit I own the first Rising Force album
And a Both of the solo post sabbath DIO albums, so put together that should equal a dragon force :D
I've got the Rising Force LP, Josh, and love it but haven't heard it in 15 years 'cause I've no player.
Hint, hint...

Oh, and I met Ronnie James Dio outside the Hilton Hotel in Melbourne around '88 after he played Festival Hall.
Viv Campbell from Def Leppard played lead that night, and Jimmy Bain was on bass:

You know, I'd clean forgotten those names, but they both flooded back when I read your post.
Them was the days... :?
He had his high-heels on but still looked like an imp or a leprechaun... not sure which.
Vivian Cambell played with def leppard? Maybe I am brain dead, I don't remember that........
But your wikepedia of Jimmy Bain....brings up the fond memories of thin lizzy and of course rainbow "rising"........
All shpongle and psychedelic fluff aside, those were the good old years, when musical heroes instilled a sense of magic, hope, fantasy......
Although I was 12-15, so anything was possible. Funny There is never much mention of the first def leppard album before the fame in the usa. That was actually a pretty rocking album.

I remembered after posting last night that I met Jimmy Bain too, but he was severely off his nut and super-quiet.
Methinks his addiction problems over the years may have been a quiet, personal mission to destroy himself/find happiness.
Poor chap.

That earlier album - was that the one with "Me and My Wine" on it?
That one rocked alright.

Yeah, Viv played for the Leppard, Lou Gramm and Whitesnake too.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vivian_Campbell

A good friend of mine, a South African Australian gal, was one of his groupies, FWIW.
Poor thing; she was besotted with the guy, and told one particular spa story countless times to me.

Agreed. Rainbow, Purple, Dio et al had a magic about them, IMHO too.

Guess what, Josh... Viv's a Virgo! Yay!
Notice he's been doin' it since '77 and is still going strong at 45?
See? You and me are still spring chickens!
No need to worry about that stuff, bud.

As we speak the philharmonie in Berlin is on fire.

http://www.berliner-philharmoniker.de/en/philharmonie/

Apparently welding sparks on the roof started it.
They're considering removing part of the roof to gain access for fire hoses.

All instruments have been removed from the hall, but fears are held for the possible impending flood of water as much as for fire damage.
Hot off the press at the BBC. :D
