Yeah... really strange that Portal would happily let me continue running 1.0.2 until January of 2025 and THEN notify me of the update.

I'll be interested in UVI's reply as to why despite running UVI Portal over a hundred times in the last six months, only today it notified me that I needed to update to 1.0.3? I may start checking at the website and not rely on UVI Portal anymore. That's just ridiculous.

Well the plot thickens. I heard back from UVI support (see below) and it indeed looks like version 1.0.3 of the Xtreme FX 2 library was in fact released yesterday. I think what happened is that they did not update the release date on the website, only the version number. I'm going to write back and let them know. So if you DO have Xtreme FX 2, you might want to launch UVI Portal and update, or download 1.0.3 from their website and ignore the date for now.

In any case this has been the most well-vetted update announcement I've every posted here.

I can confirm that they did indeed update the date on the download page. It went from March to April when we now know for-sure it should have changed from March to Jan this year.

I relied on the published date of course and checked the creation date of the 1.0.2 file I had and indeed it was March last year.

You've actually solved a little issue I had - why had I somehow missed the April update? You posted the fact that the new version had dropped, I checked the DL page and lo and behold, as I said, there it was and I was left scratching my head as to how I missed it all those months ago. Following that of course I "PSA'd" the apparent fact, according to that page, that it dropped last year.

So in summary, if I've got this right, we now know everything except for an official explanation as to why the DL page is wrong. It's obviously human error, one might assume, and one that ought be fixed if for no other reason that I'm sure others will be scratching their heads too when they discover that they apparently missed the update.

Good on you and good on UVI for being transparent, as always. Thanks again brother.
