.
Just out of curiosity, Amplidood:
Do you have to do a lot of extra work in your mods every time MOTU releases a new version of DP?
I suppose you also need to update your website (same for iPerformer)
Hope not... otherwise keeping up with MOTU will be hard!
It seems MOTU is on steroids lately, which is like TOTALLY GREAT!

I wish I could say it wasn't a lot of work....but it is when dealing with this kind of upgrade. They've added new features which I've had no way to make happen, so I have to take advantage of that. Here's basically a breakdown of what has to happen...
1. Check and see if there are differences between my modded files and what's in the new upgrade.
2. Merge my mods with the new ones if there are differences, and make necessary changes or taking advantage of new features. This takes the most time, as I have to do it for every mod. I also have to decide how far backwards I want to make any changes available to users of older versions of DP.
3. Paste my parameter data into the new xml files, making sure parameters still match.
4. New schreenshots and graphics for the website.
5. Compile, compress, and upload new versions.
All said and done, with there being 17 different mods, I have to pick and choose my battles. Since I can't charge outright for the mods without going to battle with MOTU over the EULA, the time/return ratio indeed is lopsided. Donations are very much appreciated every time I receive them, and I've gotten some generous ones. But if I did a per hour breakdown....hhhooooo boy. Like I'm working in Mongolia.
I may have to revisit that soon. I think it's fairly obvious that there's something worthwhile going on here.

Wow! That IS a lot of work!
Ampli, I will send you a GOOD donation the second I get my new computer and new system (before February).
You DEFINITELY have something GREAT going on in here. THANKS for your work, man.
I just hope you are not the only person in MOTUNation that goes "Oh, SH*T" instead of "Oh, GREAT" every time MOTU releases a new upgrade!

It's donation time people!!!
This is a major update form Amplidood and I for one can't thank him enough for all of this hard work.
I would say that even if you have donated before to consider doing so again now that 7.1 is out and now that he is making these amazing changes for us. If you have yet to donate then what's wrong with you!

Well yes, that is a LOT of work
In the last couple of weeks I have been using the Night mod in my DP 7.02, what a pleasure!!!
Today, I have installed the new DP 7.1 in my computer. Of course I love the new features, but now I REALLY MISS the "Night" look, I got used to it, and I dont like the original user interface anymore.
Hope you can upgrade the mods soon, at least the most used or downloaded.
Today I have make my donation to you, just to say thanks for the hard work and the great skins you have created for our beloved DP, and to encourage you to continue making happy DP users around the wold.
By the way, I live in Mexico City. I have been a DP user since version 3. Im a DP fan...and now, Im your fan too!!

That's awesome! Just one day of the stock GUI had my eyes squinting

. Have to admit that the new features of 7.1 are great (now the upgrade is really worth it).

Ok everyone. I need everyone's take on this. I think MOTU is actually trying to make things easier for us modders. Take these facts into consideration...
I had several things I had on my "wishlist" that I couldn't do anything about with a mod.
1. The color of the Tracks Overview.
2. An inactive send state.
3. A different color for the wiper.
4. The little white spaces where "solo/mute/rec/input" were.
These things all are changeable now with 7.1. I just discovered the mixer button fix, will be putting out an incremental update. So does this mean MOTU thinks the mods looking their best is important? Or just that they are trying to make their own jobs easier?
