Yes, and removing EpocCam requires using Terminal (website has copy-and-paste code, it's easy and it works).
I did that. File not found.

All Logitech stuff removed. All other video stuff I can find, removed. Problem persists in DP 10.0 and 10.11. I'll call MOTU on Monday. May try a clean install of Catalina on a spare drive. What could possibly go wrong?

Yeah, this is a weird one. usually a new USER account will clear this stuff up, so apparently it's something in the system boot folder - or at least that's my suspicion. Are you on Catalina yet?

No, and I likely won't be, on this computer (MacPro 2010 5,1; it does have a metal-capable video card, so it's possible but why tempt fate). Evrything I've documented regarding this issue is on Mojave.

Well, here's hoping a nuke-and-pave on a spare drive gets rid of it.

My message to MOTU this morning... not very promising:
Things are worse than I thought. Not only can I not access the movie dropdown, I also cannot resize the movie window, nor can I replace the movie in a file (project). The only partial workaround is to delete the movie file and force DP to ask me to locate it when i launch the project.

I have taken a few steps to try and troubleshoot further:

• Delete JamKazam and OBS software from the system (all elements)

• delete DP plists

• Start DP with all plugins disabled

• Restarted the Mac in single user mode (to clear all cache, etc) (start with shift key pressed)

• Restarted the Mac resetting the PRAM (start with P-R-Cmd-Opt key pressed).

I am at my wits end. This is a major problem working on films that are constantly changing or working on cues where I need different movie start times for different scenes being scored in various sequences (chunks).

I hope this other significant bug is squashed with the next release. Otherwise, the usefulness of Digital performer will be greatly diminished and render it useless in film scoring and other projects to picture.
<MOTU assures me that the programmers are very aware of the bug and seemed to indicate that only the EpocCam is to blame. I never installed that so clearly something else is happening.

MLC is getting upset...

Yeah, they seem to always be aware of the bugs, but they don't fix them (or take ages to sort of fix them). :smash:

Why is it taking so long for an update, again? There are so many things that don't work at all.

Wow, I have had this problem on Big Sur with Dp 11.01.... lo and behold, I went to the DAL folder and there was a sneaky little plugin called Epocam.... deleted it and everything works like normal now... mini menu welcome back to my movie window haha

A huge thanks to all those posting in this thread and of course MOTUnation... lifesaver once again!
