Interesting idea. I'll try that. You mean I have to create a new template from scratch, not just copy an old one?
No need to create from scratch. MOTU highly recommends using new templates in DP 10 (or 9.52 or 11 as it applies to you) — fortunately, this is really easy.

Open your template.
Fix any issues include updating any plugins (ex: shows RX7 but you now have RX8 etc.)
If you want to add, delete or rename tracks, aux's etc., now's the time to do that, too.

When done, use the Save As menu to create your DP 10 or 11 template. I recommend renaming it, too, such as the old template name with 2021 added to the name.

You're done. Takes 30 seconds to a few minutes depending on the number of changes made (if any).

If the new one works as expected, you can now go in and delete the old template. The path is different depending on Mac or Win.

Not entirely unusable, but there were 4 or 5 things that didn't work properly in the older versions when the newer version was installed. Best to have separate volumes or partitions per version and then delete the older version when you're happy with the newer.

If they are both on the same drive or partition, this is what will happen:

After you install 9.52, no 32bit only plugins will work. Some other MOTU functions will now be found under the TRIM control.

If you reinstall 7.24 (depending on the MacOS, this may or may not be possible), any 64 bit plugins will not work.

DP 7.24 cannot be made to work on an APFS formatted drive. It will look for the CD to verify the installation and will never "find" it. There is no workaround.

If one volume is formatted APFS, it cannot be seen by the HFS+ formatted drive though the reverse is not true. The only way to switch boot volumes is to shut down completely, then boot holding the Option key. Now both will show up and you can continue from there. Once you have booted from whichever drive or partition, immediately select it as the Startup Disk under System Preferences—not doing this may cause an unpleasant surprise when you reboot for any reason. Don't worry, it's only a time-wasting inconvenience since Option boot will still work.

There was a DP 9 DVD?
Anyway,
The docs should be inside the application package. You can Alt-Drag them to your drive as regular PDFs, or access them from the Help menu. Locations of the other extras are generally shown in the startup screen.

Yes but…

For stretching/shrinking a word or syllable, it's really easy to use. I do it all the time in my virtual choirs.

For doing the same to a long passage, while it can be done, it is difficult to control over any given length. I find other tools that also use ZTX to be easier in that regard.
