External synch enabled is a very good guess.

DP 8.05 is perfectly ready for Mavericks.... It runs perfectly on many of our systems, including mine. We all, as humans, find it easy to assume the biggest parts of any system, physical or digital, to be at fault when things don't work, when it is almost always some much smaller cog in the wheel. That's why so many threads on this or any other forum declare "bugs" in new versions of the DAW or OS when no such bug exists outside our own computer.

I am still waiting for MOTU to fix the 424e driver problem, I took the card out and every thing works fine now. I would like to get some recording done again soon, but unlike some of you I have no dead lines.

How about a partition running DP in 10.8 just for recording as a temporary workaround?

You could do that. Problem is, at least for me, is that every day that passes, I'll be thinking that the day I break down and do that, MOTU will have the new driver ready for download the next day! :)

Same here I keep going to the MOTU site and looking here. I would have to wipe out the MOTU audio driver in Mavericks and I am not sure the best way to do that. I have a swappable external hard drive holder that I use for back up storage, I do have an old system on one of the drives I use on it. But in a day or so MOTU will have it fixed, right?

From the MOTU site;

MOTU and OS X Mavericks
Apple released OS X® Mavericks this week. MOTU has worked with Apple to ensure current MOTU products are compatible with OS X Mavericks, and to provide a smooth transition for your MOTU products when you upgrade to OS X Mavericks. :shake:

My Blu-Ray Pioner BDR-206D burner some times does not show up still, but before it never showed up. I did nothing to update it, there is a newer firmware update but I need windows to install it, for some reason my old XP disc will not boot, I was going to put it on a partition. SO I am going to have to live with it being wonky or find a windows disc.
Other than that it looks ok.

Well a follow up on this:

First, MOTU has a new MOTU Audio Installer in the downloads area of their site which fixes the issue with PCI hardware and Mavericks.

Second... I am BUMMED, however, that Mavericks apparently has finally KILLED my Now Contact and Now Up-To-Date. I was thrilled they worked in Mountain Lion, but bummed that their dead now. Launching them results in a brief flash of splash screen and then they quit. :( I still have a SL partition to boot from if I need to get to anything in there. Real drag that is. It was a great PIM. Don't know if I want to bother with Outlook or something like that. :(

It might be worth trying this. Open the Security and Privacy system preference. On the left, select Accessibility and unlock the pref. drag the NUD app(s) into the box of apps. Make sure they're checked. Try the apps.

If it doesn't and you want to remove the app from they window let me know. I have a solution to that in Apple Discussions. Hope it works. Fixed a couple of apps for me.

Ah! The plot thickens! :) Thanks... I actually finally discovered where this was and was overjoyed to have the keyboard shortcuts for "Snippets" back after I did that! :) It's a wonderful app that will do Macros that you can invoke any time with just a few keystrokes. :)

Thanks for the idea. Didn't work. :( I guess I'll need to learn how to remove them now?

Thanks... I'm still trying to figure out...

sudo sqlite3 /Library/Application\ Support/com.apple.TCC/Tcc.db 'delete from access where client like "%appnamehere%"'

Do you leave quotes and percentage signs? My app has a space in the name so maybe I need to do the \ thing like they show in "Application Support"? I'm NOT a Unix geek at all! :(
