Maybe that should be the name of this place: Club DP.

I couldn't agree with you more.Shooshie wrote:I LIKE the "fake" 3D GUIs. I think that 3-D elements do so much for guiding the eye and getting around quickly among what are otherwise just a bunch of lines....But elegant 3D design is in my opinion the only way to design a pro GUI interface.
I also like the look of a well-designed 3D GUI, but if the flat GUI of DP6 alleviates some of the slow redraw issues (when there's heavy CPU use) I'll gladly take it (as long as I can have my green meters back!)666 wrote:I couldn't agree with you more.Shooshie wrote:I LIKE the "fake" 3D GUIs. Speaking of green meters, I've checked the XML files and can't find the line for the mixer meters. Does anyone know how to change the mixer meters from blue to green?ghobish wrote: I also like the look of a well-designed 3D GUI, but if the flat GUI of DP6 alleviates some of the slow redraw issues (when there's heavy CPU use) I'll gladly take it (as long as I can have my green meters back!)
Reminds me of the Effects Rack in Electric Keys (see pic below). Worn front face handles on the multi effects unit (3rd from top)-- not to mention cooling vent. Chipped paint and missing rack screws on Lexi-looking unit at bottom. now that I look at it again, The Reverb Unit even has a front panel scratch that begins next to the Feedback knob at about the 1 o'clock position and continues up at a 45 degree angle.Shooshie wrote:Now, I have to say that I got tired very quickly of the console-looks with the screws and fake cracks and peeling paint -- weathered and tough looking -- as were a lot of the GUIs in games for so long.
You might check with grimepoch. He was working on those areas AFAIK.kwiz wrote:Speaking of green meters, I've checked the XML files and can't find the line for the mixer meters. I think the only meters in the XML file are the ones for the Meter Bridge. I changed those back to green.billf wrote:You might check with grimepoch. I friggin' love that look. Gotta disagree with you there Shoosh. And I think I might have to buy MOTU's Electric Keys just so that I can have that groovey stuff up on my second monitor. I just love it!James Steele wrote:Reminds me of the Effects Rack in Electric Keys (see pic below).Shooshie wrote:Now, I have to say that I got tired very quickly of the console-looks with the screws and fake cracks and peeling paint -- weathered and tough looking -- as were a lot of the GUIs in games for so long.
