If you are going to participate more often from here on out, I ask that you try to be a little more tactful and congenial around here. There are many, many talented people here and they all pretty much do a good job of being cordial and checking their egos at the door. Please try to do the same. Thanks.
WoW!!!!
Tactful? Congenial? I don't think I uttered one inappropriate word or made one off colored comment. I did nothing but voiced my opinion. Last time I checked, This is was a "Forum" right?

forum |ˈfôrəm|
noun ( pl. forums )
1 a place, meeting, or medium where ideas and views on a particular issue can be exchanged.

forum
noun
1 forums were held for staff to air grievances.

I'm sorry, I didn't know I was supposed to agree with everyone. I'll just "buy in" next time. If there is one.

Oh goodie... someone who wants to define this place to me. Great. Yes... it's a place to discuss ideas, etc. but I do detect that you sort of came in here guns blazing with an attitude a bit, and that bothers me. What can I tell you? So, since you're new here, I'm asking you to mellow it out a bit. I'm not asking you if you agree with me or not. Fair enough?

Cool! I've been looking for new material and here it is. A new musical: The Unicorn Nation!

WE'RE THE 'CORNIES!

Opening Chorus:

Check your egos at the door, don't be sore, don't be a bore!
Shooshie and Frodo know the score,
Screw with James, there's the door.

Monkey Man's got poo poo puns,
MLC will post those buns,
Chrispick sticks his chicks on a stick,
All those sections which one to pick?

We're the 'Cornies and we're a bunch,
And our trolls are.... ass munch,
But when you crash and your ass is in a crunch,

(meno mosso)

We'll fix you up, we'll get you crackin'
We'll find out why your Tiger's 'nappin'
And if you need an extra part, we've got a Lyons in the tank

(rit)

Yes a Lyon's in the taaaaaaaank! (long fermata).

(L'istesso)

We're the 'Cornies and we're a bunch,
And our trolls are.... ass munch,
But when you crash and your ass is in a crunch,
We'll pick you up, we'll grease your wheels,
We'll have a fight, we'll make you squeal,
We'll make you laugh, we'll make you cry,

(big ending)

But you know we'll always tryyyyyyyyyyy!

'Cause we're the cornies!

I know who bob james is.
I know who turrentine is.
I also know John Cage
chopin
debussy

my music is 100% sample based all my recordings are made from my 10,000 piece vinyl collection.

I made the choice long ago, to use strictly vinyl samples.

I also know some music theory.
the circle of 5ths and what not, some scales. i took a semester of theory

I cannot play any instruments except for a sampler.
maybe some chords on keyboard, because i bought a poster.

that does not mean I do not enjoy myself.
In fact, I enjoy my self immensely.

I believe that human creative activity is as close to god as you can get.

do you think god loves you more, because you can play an instrument?

do you think god loves me less, because I cannot play an instrument?

I only bring up god, because the marketing on RAD's website is mostly Christian.

anyway, get off your soap box.
who are you to judge anybody.

this post is mostly directed at radicalsaintz

How much of the Beastie Boys "check your head" was them actually playing vs them sampling themselves playing.......I once heard there was just endless production work on their rusty skills.

And that was quite a "funky" album back in its "day"......
Macbook pro, 3 gigs of ram, osx 10.62, Dp 5.13, Live 8.1.2, Reason 4, Tc powercore Virus, Albino 3.02, proper ergonomic sitting posture, plenty of coffee (french press only with a pinch of cardamon added)
My dp inspired music.....

You know what man? Music is such a diverse thing and even though there are some forms of it I don't like... I can respect the skill of people who create it and are good at what they do.
