We drink and crash cars...

Some mean guys made her their hostage...
We decided not to pay the ransom, as if we had the money...
The rebels shot her.
We got a nice picture of the hole/grave site from the mean guys.

The other three are showing signs of life...

If the rednecks are *being* bashed, yes, close enough--although typically it would be more of a verbal bashing.

If the rednecks are out on the town (or the farm) *doing* the bashing--yeah, your description still works.
