Update to Kontact Factory Library 2

Just ran Native Access and saw that Kontakt Factory Library 2 has an update. I'm guessing in preparation for Kontakt 8, which I haven't seen. I went ahead and popped for the upgrade from Komplete 14 standard to Komplete 15. Should be interesting.

I'm trying to figure out the difference between the old KFL2 and the new one, and can find very little info. Waiting for your impressions.

I'm not sure what has changed. I suspect maybe NI is tweaking some things in preparation for Kontakt 8 and compatibility with it? It was relatively painless and didn't take too long with a cable internet connection. What's painful is I'm in the midst of a IK Multimedia Sample Tank MAX library update... ugh... like 180+ GB. IK's Product Manager is downloading 100 2-4GB sized disk images one at a time, mounting the image and then updating files in the existing library. I'm only 44% through this thing. I'm going to just have to step away and watch a movie or something. It's been going in the background while I've been catching up on the online audio forums.

Ahhh... Kontakt 8 now finally appears in Native Access for me. I'm going to have to do the install tomorrow as I'm busy updating Sample Tank 4 MAX library... and then I'll have do a Time Machine backup which will have to include all of those updated samples before I'm willing to risk installing Kontakt 8. No way I do that these days without an APFS snapshot of my boot volume!

That's a good thing, because I didn't even check the release notes when I updated it. Maybe it wouldn't have let me if I hadn't updated to Komplete 15?

IK's Product Manager is downloading 100 2-4GB sized disk images one at a time...

I am very pleased to say that the dmg files are actually getting smaller now... Some are 1GB or less... what a relief!

Yes, so pay attention to the content of the updates and their consequences: I think that this notion of compatibility will one day be effective anyway.

There's a topic started over at VI-Control about this issue with the new library. I guess not all the instruments are compatible with Kontakt 7 because a few posts down in that thread, someone posted a screenshot of an instance of Kontakt 7 showing an error when attempting to load an instrument.

I am a little worried about migrating things to Kontakt 8, but I just remembered the majority of my projects are using third party libraries or specialized NI libraries and not the Factory Library.

Fixed an issue in which CCC's helper was occasionally not completely exiting on startup in cases where there were no scheduled tasks. This was leading to cases where the task history database would be closed, thus disallowing new entries to be recorded.

Adjusted how ASR is invoked when creating a legacy bootable copy of macOS Sequoia on Apple Silicon Macs. This corrects some cases where the destination would fail to boot and the macOS Boot Recovery Assistant would indicate that macOS would need to be reinstalled. This does not resolve all of those issues, though. We have still found ASR to be a little bit inconsistent in its ability to produce bootable devices on the Apple Silicon platform, despite creating perfect byte-for-byte copies.

I had the MAX version, but I assume all versions updated. Run IK Multimedia Product Manager to update
