Vienna Synchron Player updated (DP-specific fix included)

Vienna dropped an updated for Synchron player which includes a fix for articulation maps not working. See below:

Yeah, they also fixed some things I alerted them to in DP that were brand new bugs in the previous update from a week or two ago, so I was surprised to see this update roll so quickly after I reported the issues!

Yes thanks! I actually missed the other DP-specific fix in the changelog. I highlighted it also.

Waves Update - new WaveShell

Looks like Waves has an updated today. I couldn't really track if any of my plugs changed, but there's a new WaveShell2 version 15.0.73 installed. I still need to write to Waves and ask why even though my plugs are now all version 15, I have WaveShells going back to version 13. Seems with every update, the Waves installer adds a new one to my various plugin folders (AAX, AU and VST3) but never deletes earlier versions. Sigh. Makes no sense to me.

Acustica Audio LACE updated (again)

Looks like Acustica Audio Lace (Compressor) and Fire The Lace (Compressor) updated... yet again on 9/16. Version 3.0.3. Launch Aquarius Desktop to update.

I went looking for changelog... all I did find was a pop up when I visited the product page that said this:

That's kind of too bad. I like iLok and I assume their new scheme is disc authorization. I much prefer storing it on a USB dongle/stick, personally. And yeah... I just installed version 1.0.5... launched DP and instantiated the new version and it made me log in to their server to "authorize" the plugin. Goodbye iLok. I guess I can remove it from my hardware key. Ugh.

UADx Tape Plugs updated

Looks like UA updated:

Console 1 System updated to 2.5.90 - (Fixes long standing PT bug, too)

Back in early September, Softube updated many of their plugins to 2.5.89. Conspicuously absent was an update to the Console 1 "system" itself. Well tonight, they dropped 2.5.90. This may be ho-hum to most of us, but six months ago I found a very peculiar bug that involved Pro Tools, Console 1 and any TC Electronic plugin that had the option of the desktop hardware controller. The issue was that if you placed a TC plug in an insert directly following an instance of Console 1, the next time you tried to load that session, about 9 times out of 10, it would get stuck loading and you'd have to force quit Pro Tools.

Anyway... looks like the Swedes fixed this on their end. I know it's not a DP thing, and I really just dabble with Pro Tools, but this is a big deal to me.

Update to Kontact Factory Library 2

Just ran Native Access and saw that Kontakt Factory Library 2 has an udpate. I'm guessing in preparation for Kontakt 8, which I haven't seen. I went ahead and popped for the upgrade from Komplete 14 standard to Komplete 15. Should be interesting.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Release notes say that this library is not compatible with Kontakt versions earlier than version 8. Some instruments open, others may not?

I'm trying to figure out the difference between the old KFL2 and the new one, and can find very little info. Waiting for your impressions.
