I used to live in the back bay when I went to school there for a year (twenty years earlier, I'm afraid). There used to be a great sub shop named Charlie's on Boylston, just a few doors away from the main entrance to Berklee.
But when I got out of school I lived for a number of years in Arlington near the Cambridge-Somerville line. Then I lived in Vermont, Florida, and California before returning to Massachusetts in the nineties.

Can't say I recall Charlie's maybe it wasn't there when I was. There was another hole in the wall called little stevie's with great pizza a few doors down from Berklee.
