Hey Rick... so the filename of the AU archive says AU3? Hmmmm... I suppose that will work in DP? I wasn't sure if DP supported AU3?Rick Cornish wrote: ↑Thu Aug 01, 2024 9:36 am Updates for all 4 plugins. Get 'em here.
I like that they conveniently provide a separate installer for each plugin format, so you don't have to install a bunch of stuff you don't want to get the ones you do.
I didn’t notice that…. I’ll have to check that out.James Steele wrote: ↑Thu Aug 01, 2024 4:51 pm

Rick, I think I had a “Sonic Maximizer” back when I was using it with Cubase 3 and OS 9. BBE also rings a bell. Would this be the same plugin? I liked it, but ever updated when I moved to OS X and DP.Rick Cornish wrote: ↑Thu Aug 01, 2024 9:36 am Updates for all 4 plugins. Get 'em here.

Apparently, I’ve been a customer since 2010. I wonder if I still have any record of this. I find nothing on the BBE site.bayswater wrote: ↑Sat Aug 03, 2024 11:10 amRick, I think I had a “Sonic Maximizer” back when I was using it with Cubase 3 and OS 9. BBE also rings a bell. OK—checked this out and—at least on my machine—it shows up as standard-format AU and instantiates fine in DP.Rick Cornish wrote: ↑Thu Aug 01, 2024 5:26 pmI didn’t notice that…. I’ll have to check that out.James Steele wrote: ↑Thu Aug 01, 2024 4:51 pm

I have one other plug that only offers AU components as AU3 and it does not work in DP.
I'm a sucker for Exciter plugins (actually had a real Aphex Aural Exciter in the studio I worked at back in the day). As for these, I don't think the Sonic Maximizer does quite as much for me as Waves' Aphex Vintage Exciter. As far as the other plugs included in the "Sonic Sweet" bundle, the Harmonic Maximizer has been of some use on acoustic guitar tracks, The Loudness Maximizer is a little more sophisticated version of Waves' One Knob Louder, and Mach 3 Bass is very similar to DP's SubKick when used on a kick drum, but also translates to other bass instruments and SF/X.mikehalloran wrote: ↑Sat Aug 03, 2024 12:23 pm Apparently, I’ve been a customer since 2010. I remember having a BBE Sonic Maximizer box back in my analog days. Like the Aphex Aural Exciter, I didn’t find much useful for the kind of music I was making. Perhaps I’ll think differently nowadays.
Me too. I still have the Aphex Aural Exciter connected to the patch bay. But you get odd looks from people when you tell them you have one.Rick Cornish wrote: ↑Sat Aug 03, 2024 12:45 pm I'm a sucker for Exciter plugins (actually had a real Aphex Aural Exciter in the studio I worked at back in the day). Turns out that the license was still there. I had to Google to figure out where it was stored in my account (license tab but you have to know where to find that first). Then I had to follow a convoluted sign-in, redirect, sign-in again, click on a tab, sign-in again routine but I finally found it — and it works with the latest download.Rick Cornish wrote: ↑Sat Aug 03, 2024 12:45 pm
I have gotten response from these guys when I've submitted questions, so perhaps they'd restore your account for you.
Glad you got that sorted out!mikehalloran wrote: Turns out that the license was still there. Yep… I do essentially the same thing with a Mail folder for order confirmations and a Numbers spreadsheet for serial numbers. It works.mikehalloran wrote:
For years, I have been creating a folder for every plug-in maker on one of my drives. In it, I store receipts, licenses and in a few cases, downloads. I no longer recall when I started doing this but apparently I never created one for BBE. All fixed now.
Thanks!
Fixed
Build 8048 addresses a crashing issue that was introduced in 7.0.2 that could occur on Macs that lack a Wifi interface.
Changed
Addressed a scrolling performance issue in the "Verify files copied by this task" window that could occur when selecting multiple files.
Changed
Corrected the appearance of the Notes text in Dark Mode.
Changed
The Task Filter, Advanced Settings, and Notes icons at the bottom of the CCC window now use a badge to indicate that customizations are applied rather than relying on color alone.
Changed
UUID resetting is now disabled for ExFAT volumes because the exfat.util resets the UUlD to all zeroes (bug filed with Apple: FB13813658).
Changed
When a postflight power management setting is selected that involves presenting the system's 60 second countdown dialog, CCC now wakes the screen before making the request so that this dialog is presented more consistently.
Changed
Fix a "missing character" font issue for a message in the Task Plan for tasks that are configured to run "When files are modified on the source".
Fixed
Fixed an issue where the "Delete snapshots that are older than f" and "Limit snapshot disk usage to J" values were getting swapped in the Snapshot Retention Policy table.
Fixed
"At rest" encrypted volumes (i.e. the internal storage in an Apple Silicon Mac, or an Intel Mac with a T2 chip) are no longer presented as "Encrypted" in the Disk Center unless FileVault is explicitly enabled with a password.
Changed
When you select a volume in CCC's sidebar and enable encryption on that volume, CCC no longer saves the user-specified password in the System keychain. The prompt for password retention is deliberately limited to cases where an encrypted volume is selected as a source or destination to a CCC task.
