Folks, please check out https://www.gearslutz.com/board/12110908-post53.html

It helps put the 9.1.2 update in context. :headbang:

Unless you're in record overdub mode, right? Then it should not erase pre-existing MIDI data.

He says the readme is a "complete list". It isn't, and says so right in the readme. I replied asking if a complete list exists.

This seems to have completely taken this thread off topic. I'll be attempting to move posts to another topic that was actually opened up pertaining specifically to this new VI.

All the OT posts have been moved here: viewtopic.php?f=26&t=62317

Plugs operating under their own players are not working well. Vienna, Stylus and others that use their own engine within the DAW. G Player and Reactor have the same issues right?

Overdub mode wouldn't be the best way, because you'll record more MIDI on the same track as you record. However, if you want to set up the inputs, Multi-Record will work. (not the same as overdub)

Right. I get you. So if you combined record-overdub mode with Multi-Record and made sure the rec-enabled tracks you DID NOT want to record over were assigned to accept input for either no source or a source that was not active, you'd be fine.

Yep same for me, they are now greyed out in preferences/themes and not selectable. Not good.

I'm sure Andy can fix it. Probably just a tweak to let DP know its compatible. It's been out how many days now? He may not even be aware of it yet.

I thought Amplidoods themes stopped in dp8... I would LOVE to have those again. Hopefully he will post when ready.

The DP8 versions of the Amplidood themes are more or less working OK in DP9 & 9.1 but not 9.12 but from what Andy said on the last page in the Amplidood thread viewtopic.php?f=15&t=62237 he has not had the time to work on true DP9 versions.

Of course they do work in 9.12 ! But you have to change the DP version named in the Info.plist file in the Contents folder of the Theme package.

Some edit screens may not be perfect and you may have to tweak the Control Panel - my theme of his does not have the @2x png's which are used on the 5K retina screens, but all the other elements work.

Excellent - thank you, I didn't know about that.

Haha... that's what I was trying to say. Thanks. I forgot where you did that.

Just installed 9.12 as a demo (still haven`t upgraded yet from DP8)

I am pleased with the new features and everything is working fine for me. I was getting several glitches while playing back samples ( triggered via VE PRO5 on a satellite PC) My buffer size was set to 128. I changed it to 512 which I never did before since the latency was unplayable but much to my surprised in DP9 this feels like 128 no perceivable difference and I can sequence without any time issue. This is really amazing and worth the upgrade alone. Thanks MOTU!
