I've been to Acadia, Montreal and Paris. The Cajuns may sound French, but it's a mix of all kinds of things, and no Parisian would claim a kinship! Montreal, on the other hand, speaks understandable French. Even, begrudgingly, to the Parisian.bayswater wrote:It's because they're speaking French. Like Quebec. Of course, being Texan, I allow a wide berth for dialects. I can actually understand Okie, even if I can never hope to be understood by those who speak it!
