I don't know if I can get through my deadline with this, I may have to bail.. :shake:
Just curious: How many tracks? Buffer? Pre-rendering on?
Only 10 stereo tracks and 3 mono tracks on the mix I did this morning. Don't ever have pre-render on, realtime always. My buffer was on 256. I couldn't increase it because on this track I was using outboard FX with the "Latency Fixer" plugin. If I increase the buffer, I would have to go in there and recalibrate the latency of each hardware box (by hand), and I don't have the time today- although I may end up doing that anyway.

Someone told me to check the oversampling setting of the plug, but I can't get to the preferences without crashing.
I would not hesitate to say that increasing the buffer would have a good chance of helping in this case. Just guessing.

There is a new update on the Slate website, v1.06, but sorry to report absolutely nothing has changed for me in DP or PT.

Well it just occurred to me that this is not necessarily so.. DP should do the math here, right?
If the latency to and from the OB gear is already compensated for, DP should set it all straight, no matter what I set the buffer to.. I think..

Hi Guys.. PM me your ticket numbers.. I'll send them directly to the front of the line. Also.. we just contacted MOTU to try to discuss some things with them and to get the newest DP update.

The new 1.06 should have fixed the CPU issue btw.. please check and post results.

Hourra!
I was able to make VCC 1.06 to work on my Macpro :D :D

To cut a long story short, the guilty was the MAS AudioUnit Support.bundle on my Macpro.

I've tryed the VCC on my Macbook Pro and the VCC worked just fine on this machine!!

After investigation on the MacBook Pro the version of the MAS AudioUnit is: version 1.7.0 (35805)
On my Macpro the version of the MAS AudioUnit is: version 1.7.0 (42086)

If you have the (42086) version, you can download the (35805) version with the link down below and give a try. It may be wise to make a copy of your original MAS AudioUnit before making the swap (I.E. copy it in another folder on the desktop)
Here is the link: http://grigrisound.com/tech/mas_audioun ... _35805.zip" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I will update my ticket at Slate suport and forum

Cheers :D

Hello Stephen!

The original is located in the Mas folder in the hardrive library.
Here is the path: /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/MAS/

You should see the MAS AudioUnit Support.bundle in it.
If you "get info" (command - I) on the original, please check what version number do you have.
Let me know if it works

David

I decided to try VCC on my new MacBook Pro. It have a fresh OSX and DP install. At my big surprise, it worked
So I start to search differences in the plugins et voila...

There is still the hijack of the transport but that is something not urgent for me.
So far so good, everything is working here, I'm a happy camper 8)

I have posted my result at the Slate forum and I have updated my open ticket plus PM Steven

Cheers

David

OK tests run in DP 7.22 with this replacement MAS AudioUnit Support 1.7.0, (35805)

VCC grouping feature works, plugins close and open without crashing and settings retained on saving project.

I'll say that has me sorted for my current project then...... now I can get excited again.

David, thank you so much.... I've tacked this onto my extensive ticket at Slate...

All the very best

Stephen

I just received my free iLok 2, all the way over here in England. I actually already had one, but it is great to see that Slate have been honourable, and they have also been extremely responsive. Now I have a spare, can't be a bad thing.

I'm already impressed with VCC, but intend to put it thoroughly through its paces next week, and introduce it to the album I have just finished mixing!!

Exciting!
