Are you speaking about sm7 or sm7b? I heard that they sounded different and sm7 seems to be discontinued.
I'd be curious to hear your thoughts on the ADK - have you ever tried a BeyerDynamic MC930?? IMO its a perfect KM84 clone. Smooth and detailed with no harshness. I would be curious to see how the ADK compares.

The SM7b is the current version - it's the same mic as the SM7. The word from I received from Shure was that the only change from the SM7 (or SM7a, as they referred to it) and the SM7b was the internal shock absorber. No electronic changes.
