Knowing what I know how to do now, textures aren't such a pain to mess around with. Anyone interested in this kind of look?

....it might become a whole new "texture" version or something. I haven't decided yet.

But you will not stop to improve the GUI ! I just found that when actuated the buttons MUTE, SOLO, Input or RECORD are not quite deep or bright in their color _

Nice, I like it! Feels like you made the dark one a little darker, which is totally fine by me!

let me ask you about the reflection effect on the transport control bar. I notice the top half of the bar is lighter than the bottom half, in an attempt to create the illusion of a curved reflective surface. Is that your doing or Motu's? Is there any way to soften the border between the top and bottom a bit, I keep look at it and just seeing a dark and light half, unless I unfocus my eyes a bit to see the 3d effect. The other question about that is that I notice over the counter section of that bar, this effect is not in the same place as on the other part and that its curved as well, in a way that doesn't seem to make sense. You can see this in your pics on post#1 too.

From what I saw of the original design, the curves were different because the display and the rest of the panel weren't meant to be seen as one single surface. But you are right about the hard change from light to dark in the light flow of the panel, I should work on that.

Hey Amplidood,

Thank you for taking this task up again! You mods make working in DP much, much easier on the eyes and I really like the way you have things set up.
I'm using 3.3.3 light and it works perfect for me. I do have request if its not too much trouble...

could you please post the link to the different knobs you made available for earlier versions if they work in 3.3.3?

thank you,

BB
