Yes - rename your DP9 folder first so that installer cannot find it and you then can run both versions concurrently (which I recommend until all the bugs in 10 are discovered and squashed).

Sweetwater does not yet have the product release, and they are currently only selling the boxed version of the upgrade. But they have 48-month financing if you have a Sweetwater card. They notify you to have you approve the shipping method when they have the product to ship.

Scaling is great. It gives you a nice zoom level on a 4K screen without the fog tat descends when you change screen res. All very visible, although they really could increase the font size on the Track Window column headers. They're still too small.

DP 10 uses your DP9 preferences. Launching 10 required nothing in the way of tweaking before opening a DP 9 project and picking up where you left off. This suggests to me that you are going to run into some issues running 9 and 10 on the same partition.

Soundbank requires iLok and doesn't work with the trial version.

Don't remember this from the NAMM discussion. Should make a few people happy.

"Clippings that consist of track data can be dragged and dropped into the Track List, Track Overview and Sequence Editor. When doing so, you can now simultaneously create new tracks and drop at a specific location on the timeline, in one operation. In addition, any busing between multiple tracks within the clipping is preserved."

and I like this one:

"When dragging soundbites in the Sequence Editor to move them, Digital Performer now displays their complete waveform while dragging"

I don't have DP9 in a folder. It's just in the Applications folder. Are you referring to the prefs folder? Can you be more specific please.

Not getting this. If anything, snappier than 9, same with screen updates. At least as good as 9, and way better than Logic on the new Mini with it's weak GPU.

You're right, it seems that the last project I was working on is the only one experiencing the lag. I opened a couple of others and it's zippy.

I'll have to play around with it a bit more.

According to Ryan from MOTU, they recommend renaming the DP9 application to something different, eg "Digital Performer 9.52" to differentiate both versions. He doesn't say anything about the folder app, which I don't have, BTW. I only have the app inside the Applications folder.
