I am so used to DP as it is now ,, I just can't stand the ugly blue meters.
I wish you had a mod for the meters... to make them just like they were in DP5.
Don't we ALL?
Cool stuff what you are doing though Amplidude.

I know what you mean man. Read the "stuff I can't do anything about" part of my first post. They keep taking more stuff away that we can tweak and burying it in code, it seems.

The blue meters stink, they are hard to see.

Although you can't get the gradient meters back like DP5, I believe changing the meter color is simply a matter of editing some text inside one of the files inside the DP6 package.dpdan wrote:I am so used to DP as it is now ,, I just can't stand the ugly blue meters.

I would be so happy with just a color change

just exactly like the color seen here in amplidood's post.

1 Make a duplicate of your DP app, and work from the duplicate
2 Right click on it, then choose "Show package contents..."
3 Navigate to Contents/Resources/English.lproj
4 Open the "Default_Style.xml" file
5 Scroll down to the "Default colors" section
6 Where you see this...
<TEXT name="kMeterActiveColor">0:248:110:0</TEXT>
...copy the red numbers above and paste them into the same location in your .xml file.
7 Save your changes. Start up the DP duplicate.

3.2.1 posted... just little stuff.
Re: Amplidood's GUI mod 3.2.1 dark (always updating first post)
Thank's again amplidood!
Sorry if it was already asked, but is it possible to mix some parts of 2 versions?
I mean I like the lighter version of the mixer (3.1) but I prefer the dark TO of the 3.2.

Wow, looks fantastic. After I upgrade, your dark mod 3.2.x will be the first thing I install.
Re: Amplidood's GUI mod 3.2.1 dark (always updating first post)
Thanks for sayin so man. I honestly believe MOTU should bundle this (and others) with DP since they obviously don't harm its operation in any way.Umbrella wrote:Wow, looks fantastic. After I upgrade, your dark mod 3.2.x will be the first thing I install.
Re: Amplidood's GUI mod 3.2.1 dark (always updating first post)
Hopefully they will just make the product a little more configurable through the UI itself and include a better default then they did with DP6.

Re: Amplidood's GUI mod 3.2.1 dark (always updating first post)
Since the UI is mostly just a set of graphic files, I don't see how hard it would be to create system for UI "themes". In fact, it would be the easiest thing to do for a serious programmer (which I am NOT). If a novice like me can create a set of files and make it easy for ANYONE to install themselves, how hard could it really be for a pro.

aplidood, great MOD!!! been using it since the begginning.. never would have dared to instal DP6 without it..just one question man..what color scheme are you using in those pictures you post?? they look really good and easy to the eyes..i really dislike it when the waveform turns white because the BG is too ''dark'' ?? can you post the color scheme?? or maybe theres a way to keep the waveform in SE always the same color and include it as a MOD???

Re: Amplidood's GUI mod 3.2.1 dark (always updating first post)
I keep forgetting to add that as part of my mod. Great idea. Basically I'm using a modified version of the "Wayland Dithers" scheme, with the color prefs set to "use track color for wave background". I changed the color scheme so that there aren't many colors that cause the waveforms to go white. I use the dark colors for Auxes so that they show up with white letters on the mixing board.HLStudios wrote:aplidood, great MOD!!! been using it since the begginning.. never would have dared to instal DP6 without it..just one question man..what color scheme are you using in those pictures you post?? they look really good and easy to the eyes..i really dislike it when the waveform turns white because the BG is too ''dark'' ?? can you post the color scheme?? or maybe theres a way to keep the waveform in SE always the same color and include it as a MOD???
