Dude, calm down, take a deep breath.
Just think how much faster the new computer you're going to get will be by the time DP6 does come out.
Okay.
Now back to the serene, calm and peaceful forum that is
Unicornation!

[The distant echoes of an organ grinder playing "We're Not Gonna Take It" swirls in the breeze and grows ever louder in a heavily doppler affected crescendo as the Monkster approaches towing his MonkeyLabs™ 5-Way-Ganged Vacuoso System™ (available with signed skid mark) along the gravel road that passes right by us. Louder and louder the cacophony becomes, until it peaks at the point he's nearest...]

That has to be the worst excuse ever. Why wait to upgrade your computer? Get it now and use DP 5.13. Geez.

It's happened before.
Times, dates and places please.

I thought historically DP has come out more times than not on a friday.

That may be true, Mark, but I'm sure I've been stunned on at least one occasion to find the MOTU site's being overhauled for a DP release on a Sunday evening.
Somewhere between 2002 and 2005 would be my best but pathetic guess.
All I know is that occasionally MOTU has used normal business downtime to work miracles.

It will be out when its out I can tell you that much and it will happen on a day in the week at a certain hour.
Hope that helps

I have to know when DP6 will be out so I went to a card reader and she pulled up a the king of EQ's, the formally known as the prince of rock, the 8 of bits, the 2 of night clubs and the jester of DAW’s. She said it is coming soon.
I then had my palm read and she said some cash would soon be flowing from my hands.
In the crystal ball DP6 could be seen coming but its date of arrival is cloudy.

Wow Nick that is true, you have the gift of sight.
Could we have a monkey prediction?

How ironic that these countdown threads start at page 1. It would be so much more fun if the threads started at page 28 so that we could pace ourselves for a true countdown as the thread "un" grew.
Of course, this notion is just as nutty as watching the clock...
Since we're scraping the bottom of the barrel for ideas, I'll submit that a few planets are in retrograde right now, including the tech-oriented Mercury.
Mercury goes direct June 19th.
Neptune turns direct November 2nd.
It's probably all entirely meaningless, but maybe we're just a couple of weeks away from 6.0 with a teething period of 5 months with a killer maintenance update shortly thereafter.
Then again, maybe threads like this serve the greater sole purpose of seeing how our fellow forum buds are doing from day to day!
