I live in northern cali, the same thing applies here everybody is spiritually superior, environmentally over evolved and politically self righteous......but I love it! Although I make an effort to get to the city SF as often as possible just to remind my self that women do infact uphold hygienic practices that I prefer, like shaving legs and such......
True, it does have that Mountain town thing a little, but certainly the desciption you gave about northern Cali sounds alot like Woodstock. You also have a ton of NYC weekenders here or Cityiots as they are called by some people

Starbucks should have 2 different drive thru lanes, dammit!! There should be one lane dedicated for people that just want a regular, standard, good old fashioned cup of coffee, and want to be able to get it quickly. The second lane should be for the people that want the skinny mocha half-caf frap xtra whip low cal syrup shot shaken not stirred blueberry peach cinnamon caramel low fat latte with extra cocoa on top. Hey - I got nothing against those drinks, but they take FOREVER for those guys to make, and all I want is some damn caffeine fast fast fast!!! :)

try mc d's or dunkin dougnuts....I understand they actually make a better tasting regular cup of joe than the fancy lads at starbuck's.....now if you want the high end fluff, then starbucks would be the better choice.

I'd have to disagree with you here. I know that alot of people go crazy for D&D's coffee but I don't think its anything special. One of my all time favorites is StarBucks' French Roast. Mmm

Can't speak much about Mc D's I try to stay out of that place. I'm afraid just walking in there will increase my colesterol

I have no actual experience, just regurgitating what I have heard. Personally I prefer my own french pressed french roast with some cardamon added for exotic flavor. I agree about not wanting to step into a mc d's......although this guy seemed to loose 80 lbs just eating at mc d's..... :?

Wait till the Mc D execs get a hold of this one!!! Of course most people who go there don't eat like that everyday. Did you ever see 'Super Size Me'? That was a little scary

yes I did see it, it was rather entertaining. I agree when the powers that be at mc d's get a hold of this one, they will make jared (the spokesman from subway who lost lot's of weight) look like tiny tim

Ever tried one of the McD's salads? It's no wonder the guy lost weight - they're pretty horrible  Besides, I think he did it as a publicity stunt anyway - although he actually did lose weight (good for him! seriously), but....if your goal is to lose weight, why on Earth would you decide that eating McDs everyday is THE way to do it, unless you are expecting to be able to go on Today after you achieve your goal? Of course, I could just be a cynical pessimist, but ....

monkey brain soup......

Post by Resonant Alien »

Sorry MM.....but you did ask for the most OT thread ever, so here goes.....(it's amazing what you can find on Google!!)

Monkey Brain Soup Recipe:

* Take one (1) living monkey. The recipe does not work without the kicking and the screaming and the biting. Just eating monkey brain stew is not particularly interesting or shocking.

* Strap beneath special table with hole in center. The monkey must be strapped beneath a table with its head poking up through a hole.

* Bop monkey on the head, scoop and serve. The diners usually deliver the fatal blow themselves with hammers, the skull is sawed off and the brains are scooped out with spoons.

Yummmmm

You seemed to like them, so here're some less-used ones (around here) that are nonetheless very popular on the 'net:

LMAO - Laughing my ass off
LMFAO - Laughing my f@#$%&@g ass off
...
Adding adjectives for precision:

LMHAO - Laughing My Hairy Ass Off.

I saw this once - it baffles me that such a mentality can even exist and flourish. I'm shocked that they didn't beat the guy over the head who came up with this idea and then eat his brain.
Success is just one more plugin away! And happiness is as close as your next upgrade.
