yay for tweaked XML. I haven't voiced my thanks, but I can't live without your mod. The many compliments of those I have shown it to, I pass on. Great work and I hope someday there will be more to come. from you and motu.

DP is the centerpiece of the little world another producer and I work together in. After moving up to 6 and modding it, he doesn't know how we didn't go blind working in 5. I won't tell you what he said when I let him see the stock 6 interface...
That's great. Thanks so much for your great mod.
I had gotten so use to your 3.1 dark mod that I had forgotten just how bright the stock version looked until I upgraded to 6.02.

The only little thing I found was on the CPU Meter. Because they changed its size a bit, the CPU clipping indicator is a bit funny. There's a tin red line that stays on even when no CPU clipping occurs.

Is it just me?

Hm...it appears they have overridden the meter graphics on the Tracks Overview now. So the meters have no gradients at all anymore, just solid green.

Man that's interesting. But I did fresh installs of all 3 verions (light, dark, unified) into 3 copies of 6.02, and that doesn't happen on my system.

First let me preface this by saying I love the time and effort you guys put into these things.
Having said that, here's my little critiques of your mod sir.
IN the most recent unified version I have a hard time seeing the little output arrows at the bottom
of a mixing strip.
The just blend in a little to much.
When you look at the actual transport control panel, same thing.
The little drop down arrow (the new marker arrow in 6.02 in the control panel) is really hard to make out.
Perhaps it's my aging eyes..
The little pre/post fader buttons are also very difficult to make out.
I realize those buttons are very tiny to begin with, you might not have been able to do much
anyway.
Otherwise.. lovely job!

(and I suppose I could get off my lazy ass and change some of this myself)

These are all based on the same graphic, which I tried to make a bit more passive. This was mainly to get rid of the huge black arrow that would appear when highlighting an insert. I suppose I could darken it back up a bit again, I just really liked it not rearing its ugly head like that.

They are indeed tiny. The main reason I made them a bit more faded and "see-through" in their off position was just an attempt to reduce visual clutter in the mixer. Made it much easier for me to scan send levels.

Thank you again. And yes you could, but don't let it take you over like I did. It was a definite obsession there for a minute.

Actually I already changed the color of the channel strip numbers from a light black to white.
It seems to be a bit easier on my eyes anyway.
I'll likely change a couple of small things but that's about as crazy as I'll ever get me thinks

I've been using it a bit and haven't found any new issues whatsoever. They are probably lurking in there somewhere, but not anything obvious!!

Yes we have. I just deleted over 10 chitter chatter posts. I don't mean to be a grouch, but please keep the empty chit chat over in the OT forum. We get mounds and mounds of posts that don't say much and I'm not trying to rain on the parade, but we need to try and cut down on that unless you're in the OT forum. Thanks.

You're very welcome. What's sad for me is I only use DP for my programming gigs these days. Every other minute is Pro Tools. Even as good as PT 8 is, it just can't compare to how easy DP is to program in.
