Mine was so long (after 20 years of growing!) that I could sit on it.

I allowed my family to talk me into getting it all chopped off to 2 inches (actually, I was simply tired of the pressure therefrom), and, in a Samsonesque turn of events, I subsequently became physically and emotionally weaker.
I've seen this happen to others, and although I'd considered having to fight a slight energy tweak after the chop, I greatly underestimated the power of this phenomenon, at least as it pertained to me in this case.

It's funny to me that I've not had the guts to date a lawnmower since, so it's been 2 years now and I've no desire to return to a hairdresser.

FWIW, my monkey-theory on this subject has always been that the hair acts as a sort of energy dampener and/or aerial.
Experienced hairdressers have noticed (usually only after I've asked them the question!) that as a generalisation, those with longer hair tend to be calmer.

I think it's great that you did this, Bill.

FWIW, I was thinking of the fact that Shooshie encouraged me to not hold back for fear's sake with the humour at the outset of my posting here, and that this, in essence, created a monster of sorts.

Simple character substancepootion will explain all.

I know. I've been waiting 12 years for such new-fangled treatment.

On the plus side, my smile defeats all those who cross my path, so the teeth issue is a moot point.
OK, mouth points.

Funny the reverse happened to me. When I finally cut my hair, I felt a massive force of strength overtake me.......while genetics has the last say, I personally love having short hair.....or no hair........and I consider my self of "hippie" orientation.......just a little more hygienically involved.......hey I still sport patchouli

I don't think anybody said they have to have long hair. I've seen hippies with short hair

I do too, Josh. No hassle to look after, and doesn't get in the way of anything.
I didn't have a haircut in around 20 years, plus I'm super-sensitive, so I think the combination of these factors probably explains the profound effect I experienced.

It was real though, and I'm afraid that has to take priority over the inconveniences.
