Same here, Mark.

Funny, I got a strong feeling about DP yesterday and even predicted we'd see 'Cornie reviews within weeks.
Notice that the OSX updates are continuing to grow in size every time?
Dang! Try downloading this (almost half a gig) one on dial up.

I placed my order with Major Music in January and am "top of the list", but it's been mighty hard to hang onto the dough... only just. :D

I friend of mine has adsl 2 and he DLed the leo update in wait for it.... 4 mins what a smart Ar$e

LOL

Hey, it'd take me longer to get to a Mac store than to trickle this one onto my beastie.
Still, I reckon I'm looking at at least a week though. :?

Make sure your not DLing the combo update but just the .3 part of it.

I'm not on leo yet but I will be when the new mac gets here and one of these years I'll have DP6 to go with it.

My god from the dark ages (4.61 10.3) to the modern ages all in one go.

What will i do with myself???

Thanks for the tip, Mark.
FWIW, I've come to trust the combo updaters, and have been using them since Jaguar.

Combo it is. Half a gig. Dang.

Is it just me, or does everybody else run to the computer when they get a magazine (in this case, Junes EQ) that says that DP6 is out NOW?!?!

I'm so sick of this. The truly terrible thing is that I went to Fort Wayne to interview at Sweetwater, and when they asked me if I had any questions for them I said, "Uh, yeah, when does DP6 come out?"

Just so you know, I was told 4th quarter.

Of course, I didn't get the job, either, so he may have been joking. I hope.

I think it's possible that we'll see DP6 next year. Mach 5 II was the last big update, and it was released something like two years behind the schedule.

Hopefully that particular person was ill-informed.
Brad implied three weeks ago that it'd be a whole lot sooner than that.

Well, as the Hogan's Heroes character Sgt. Schultz would say:

Ouch! Let's hope so.

The thing is though that Brad was given a demo by MOTU itself a few weeks back, and reported what they "told" him. :?

I'd say Nicky that there is some unforeseen problem thats come up that their trying to rectify. I mean the signs are there that there could be a june release but maybe something has come up thats holding them back BIGTIME.

Maybe a whole bunch of NEW VI's and plugins :D

Or maybe stability and optimized code that makes DP6 FLY.

Lets hope so eh

Yeah, let's hope so Mark.

FWIW, I'm taking my toys and going home now.
I've lost practically every post I've made today and had to rewrite them.
The response I had for you was hilarious, IMHO, and comprehensive, and for me losing it was the last straw.
I hit the preview button and the page won't load, saying the server isn't responding, and as I said, I then lose my post.

Take care, Markus Bratticus Maximus. :D
