Sounds like typical Liberal BS for why Kids should go to a Institutionalized school!!!!!Shooshie wrote:
You home school? Oh man. That's too hard. But power to you. Maybe your kids are young. You can homeschool at those ages. But when it gets up to 7th grade, where they're expected to have great math, science, English, foreign language, and so on, it's really better for the young man or lady to go to a fine school where they get first rate instruction in all subjects, and where they get to socialize as well.
Especially the socialization thing.
Great Math, Science, etc... So a teacher can READ from a book better than I can??? So a teacher can relate to my children better than I can??? BAH!!!!
(Note this isnt personal. LOL. This is a serious issue with me. I have heard all the lies and false perceptions.)
Government is a 12th grade class (where I came from) For meI can teach government better than any LIBERAL educational institution.
My Kids are more educated & informed at their ages than MOST kids at THEIR AGES.... Not my opinion, just observation and the words of others who engage "SOCIALLY" with my children.
Dont buy the hype. Parenting is NOT HARD WORK. Unless you dont want to be a parent. Parenting is something I started training for when I was 9 years old. Something my wife wanted at age 6. WE were born to raise children and it gives us GREAT PLEASURE to home school ours.....

giles117, kudos for home schooling!
I heard some quote from a college teacher frustrated at the steady decline of public education ...? I think it went:
" .... they enter the ed system uninformed ... and they leave ignorant"
I think that applies everywhere - (ie not just in the US).

I'm reinstalling DP5 again!!!
Be sure to pop it back in the box first if you want that "fresh from the hands of the Gods of MOTU" feeling again, Spikey.

I might also suggest that before you put DP back into the box and the reinstall it that you first spend about 2 hours working on a project with the lowest possible buffer setting, and lots of VI usage. Run DP into the red and really feel the sluggishness of working with an overloaded system. And then (and this is the magical part) when you reinstall DP5, just increase the buffer setting and you will feel that "snappy" feeling that will make it seem like a new and improved software upgrade.

I'm not in a hurry to get a new app on my system, I'm more concerned of the content itself.kassonica wrote:Any word of DP6 periodMatcher wrote:I've asked this before but, any word of right-click menus is DP6? And 32 buffer setting?![]()
What I need to do I can do with what I have now. I can even do it so much better all the time, as I learn more and more. I won't get the upgrade just because of the new logo.

Plus I've already spent the money I had earmarked for DP6.
Guess I better get a paper route or something.
