Square peg, round hole. Low viscous application purist. Anarchical thread hi-jacker.
It's not important to start the chainsaw, having it in the hotel lobby is usually enough.

The concept of infinity intrigues me.

For starters, there's no such thing as "infinitely small"; there is a length, a mass and a duration beyond which one cannot sub-divide.
The Planck length:

Interestingly, I've heard it said that the time it takes for light to pass through the eye lens and hit the retina is approximately a Planck time unit, the tiniest unit of time possible.
"In a twinkling of the eye" is surely the shortest time of all. :D

So, in keeping on topic, I propose that the entire universe is composed of grains (pixels, if you will).
One of these might well be very lonely on its own, and fail to serve any useful purpose - just like this thread. :?
