That reminds me, Tom, and I say this quite often, but... bring back the "baloon help" feature please, MOTU.

There if you needed it (through a key combo), and not there the rest of the time. Oh, and super-informative too.

Wasn't that a OS9 based feature?

Could well have been, Baysey, but I've always thought it was one written by MOTU. Either way, how tough could it be to re-implement it?

Can't you still click on an object in DP, after hitting Command-?, and get help for that object? That USED to be a feature in DP. I haven't used the internal help in so long that I don't know if it's still there.

I don't know, Shoosh, but the old combination was (I think) shift-option-command, and it spawned cute little dialogue bubbles that disappeared as one released the keys, as you'd remember. I suspect the help feature you mention has "always" been there in any case.

Just checked. Now, by typing COMMAND-/ (which is the question mark without the shift key) you get a help page for the currently active window. Context sensitive, but not down to the individual component level. The page, then, has all the features of that window listed.

Thank you, Shoosh; that's how I remember this feature.

I still preferred the ol' balloons, not least because, as you implied, their content was object/component-specific.

It no longer appears as part of the process; only file type and bit depth. I'm sure I'm stupid, and there's another shortcut somewhere, but it's now taking extra steps to get a 96K file exported or bounced to 44.1K. ????

I have found the same issue. Does anyone know if it is possible to convert the sample rate during bounce to disk like it use to do?

Thanks,
Jim

The recent postings showing much improved results for DP's SRC quality may have something to do with it -- looks like DP might be using CoreAudio functions now. It may be difficult to integrate that with the export function.
