Just bumping this as I missed it myself, but was alerted to it by Dave Polich and the Six String Geekster.

Great call, Tim.
I haven't had any success getting the Watkat to load in DP 5.13 yet, I wonder what I'm doing wrong?

Not really a plug, but interesting just the same...

…string theory says that all subatomic particles of the universe are nothing but musical notes. A, B-flat, C-sharp, correspond to electrons, neutrinos, quarks, and what have you. Therefore, physics is nothing but the laws of harmony of these strings. Chemistry is nothing but the melodies we can play on these strings. The universe is a symphony of strings and the mind of God… it is cosmic music resonating through 11 dimensional hyperspace.

Has anyone else had success with Watkat or ADT? I've downloaded both repeatedly and reset my plugin folder but haven't had them show up yet in DP 5.13. I love tape echo and am very interested to see what the Watkat can do....

Really love the poorplate and the Tal vocoder, great stuff! Thanks, Fred

KR-Research have released a new delay plugin as part of their (FS) free-series... The KR-Delay FS .. Just tried it just now and it seems really nice.. Clean sounding, simple, easy to use...... However!!!

On my system, I also have their free reverb, KR-Reverb FS.. After I added the delay to my componants folder and loaded DP, the reverb doesn't appear in my plugin list anymore.

I thought there was something funny happenning when DP didn't do an audio-unit validation on the delay plug-in.

So it seems that, at present, you can't use both plugins at the same time. The KR-Delay FS seems to override the KR-Reverb FS somehow. If you want the reverb back, you have to quit DP and remove the delay from your componants folder.. Reload DP, et voila! The reverb is back..

Anyone else experience anything similar? I'll contact KR-Research at some point and let them know I guess..

ADT (http://www.vacuumsound.de/plugins.html) is fine here. Thanks DogBoy !

I've already tried to achieve such Fx with 2 delays, but ADT is better. By far on solo voice.

BTW, ADT GUI is as uggly as Apple plugins, but I can get thru.

I got ADT working, thank you! Still have had no luck w Watkat, but it seems like I'm having problems w VST on my new computer..... none of my wrappers seem to be working correctly and I haven't sorted out the cause yet. Thanks, Fred

Watkat is available as an AU plug-in - why aren't you using that?

I emailed K-Research and they said they're going to release an update in the next few days that addresses this problem...

Well, I've tried and tried and tried again..... no luck getting it to show up yet either! I love tape echo too..... closest thing I have now in my studio is an outboard rack mounted Line 6 echo pro, which can give some fairly convincing results when tweaked. Thanks, Fred

What system are you running? If you dont mind me asking.....

Gsi also have another nice tape delay.. The GS-201 Tape Echo (costs only 19 euros)........... Has a demo too, so you can check if it works first.

A ROLAND SPACE ECHO, LOVE IT!!!!!

My system is an Imac 2.4 Duo Core, OS X 10.5.6, DP 5.13....... The Gsi tape delay demo is working quite nicely on my machine, thanks for the heads up! I think I'll purchase it, have been experimenting with it on the M-tron and getting some analog sounding stuff...... by the way, I used to own a Roland Space Echo many years ago, used it on my guitar along with a Mutron Biphase and other toys, lol! Thanks, Fred
