Tim,
I did everything correct earlier, I just gave up after a second or so. I was moving alot of tracks in a long project and of course even on a G5 dual 1 ghz machine with 3.5 gigs if ram, it takes a little bit. I was impatient and assumed it didin't work. Thanks.

How do I move a bunch of tracks to the bottom all together? Sorry for the trouble.
Dan

Where is a A440 (adjustable) tuning sine wave that you can bring up for the players to tune with.

THAT WOULD BE GREAT FOR DP 5!

Put that right under Studio/click options. (Studio/Tuning Note)

It's too easy to take a pass on tuning, cause it's too much work to pull up a synth, and nobody remembered to print one on the file.

Here's one I'd like to see.

Make it so DP saves the sample rate with each file.

I was @ 88.2, briefly opened a 44.1 Peak file in Peak, then started tracking @ was 1/2 hour into it before I realized that the reason I was was having problems with the audio, (wierd artifacts, etc.) was because some of the tracks were now being recorded at 44.1.

I'd like an alert when there are mixed sample rate files being recorded.

Better yet, it would be very cool, if when I went back to DP, it reverted to the saved Sample Rate.

Thanks MOTU!

change quickscribe's transcription linebreaking to a type that has low cpu usage.

i.e Just to put a double bar at the beginning of an 8 bar section presently brings a project into a grindingly slow process, of constantly recurring re-transcription linebreaking alerts, etc. throughout playback. (I have a dual 2.7 ghz for god's sake.)

Seems like that could work much faster.

MOTU, can you hire a guy that reads music to develop quickscribe?

(It doesn't have to be so much that his playing suffers of course.)

Thanks MOTU!

••• Track count info

The Audio performance window (or any other place) should display the current amount of mono, stereo & surround audio tracks, Aux tracks, Instrument tracks & MIDI tracks

For the new buyers of 5..better manuals and tutorials that have been gone through and tested for functionality and clarity, so that the manual doesn't tell to use a function that doesn't exist etc..

For all of us, better "tech support"

I also find it disturbing that the bugs of 4.61 will be fixed in 5 which obviously is not free.

More window settings saved within the Window Set that translate to other projects, such as Unit snap setting, or whether you have the track list showing or not, or zoom size. Also, being able to re-adjust a window set and re-save it. Right now you have to save it as new, then delete the old one, if you want the same shortcut.

Also, I'd like to see a L/R scroll bar for the Markers window. Seems to me there are other windows, too, which I can't recall off the top of my head, that have info you need to scroll to, but you have to physically expand the window to get to them. That's always been very weird to me. Simple stuff that wastes time!

INPROVED audio editing Sequence Window...???...???

Cheers all,

there are so many great things about DP yet, there is always room for improvement... i.e., editing audio within the Sequence Window. I think you all know what i mean (hint-more like Pro Tools-window stays where I want to be) so I won't rant. Here's my post about a year ago.

http://www.motunation.com/forum/viewtop ... =pro+tools

Could this be what MOTU's means when releasing statements like this (although editning audio within the Sequence Window is a bit different than the Waveform Editor)?
