Ok Guys. Thanks to sdfalk and myself, I've been emailing the SSL plug.dmg to people who have been having a difficulty getting it.
What I've done is uploaded it to my website. I don't want to step on SSL's toes, because I'm sure they would like some hits on their site. They need to make the download process easier for everyone. it's getting tough though to keep sending these out all day long.
Thanks again sdfalk, but now you and I can get back to work.
Anyone who wants the plug. Go to
www.soundhousestudio.com/ssl.dmg
I'm only going to leave it up for 1 day.
I hope this helps everyone.
John

It's very sensitive. Heavy compression when taken past 1 o'clock. I compressed around 2-3 o'clock and cranked the output and I happend to like the results.oh my this plug is the ••••! It took a dry drum loop and made it sound like it was in a HUGE room!

Okay..I'm trying it again..
I wouldn't reach for this as anything but a certain effect. Maybe as a bus compressor for submixed drums for some extra boom. I would love to know how folks used this in the 80s.
Still, free is free. I know I'll use it.

FWIW, this is from their FAQ's:
Q.
I am struggling to download the LMC-1 plug-in...
A.
The general principle is that you create an account (register). Once you have an account you can login and request a download link via the stores checkout procedure. I am not sure how far through the process you are, so here is a basic overview of each step:
Goto to the store.
Click on create an account and complete the registration form. Once successfully completed, an account created page will be displayed and you will receive a confirmation email welcoming you to our on-line shopping facility.
Click on continue to enter the store as a logged-in user. If you have previously registered and are returning to the store, enter the email address and password you registered when creating your account to login.
Once logged in, click on the SSL LMC-1 Plug-In link.
A product overview of the LMC-1 will be displayed. Click on Add to Cart.
A list of what is in your cart will be shown. The LMC-1 will be shown as a free item. Click on Checkout.
A confirmation page will be displayed. Click on Confirm Order.
A final message advising that a download link has been email to you will be displayed.
You will receive two emails. One confirming the order and the other advising a download link for the LMC-1. Click on the download link. On the resulting web page, click on 'Click here to view your order and download instructions'. On the resulting page, enter your email address and password to login. Click on the LMC-1 Download.
On the resulting file download pop-up, click on save to save the SSL-LMC-1v1_1_3.dmg file to your hard disk.
Whether it works as it should is another story..
