that's it Qo, you ARE OUTA THE SECRET CLUB!

Don't you remember, you swore an oath like the rest of us to KEEP IT SECRET? What does SECRET mean, Qo? Huh? Fool. You are going down.

Man, you are in such big trouble now.

Better move house, we are coming...
Cheers,
BK

…string theory says that all subatomic particles of the universe are nothing but musical notes. A, B-flat, C-sharp, correspond to electrons, neutrinos, quarks, and what have you. Therefore, physics is nothing but the laws of harmony of these strings. Chemistry is nothing but the melodies we can play on these strings. The universe is a symphony of strings and the mind of God… it is cosmic music resonating through 11 dimensional hyperspace.

Yeah, mine came with that disc but it required a DNA sample, a sacrifice of my first born male child, AND an ILok.

Sorry, I draw the line at an ILok...
Yeah, that was an excruciating entry fee, heh! I invested in PACE's Zero Downtime insurance but still disappoint my significant other every once and awhile

okay....so. yeah. legit or not(and i am not saying it isn't), i still wanted to learn the software. i thought i heard there was a pdf manual. i guess i was mistaken. but you guys seriously need to calm down. i have spent countless dollars on software. yeah, i have a non-legit copy of microsoft word and toast titanium. i guess that makes me a poor art school student as well as a low life swashbuckler. i can't support myself to enough of a point where i can buy every 'essential' application. i will say however, the music programs that i use, i purchased legally(excluding dp4 which was given to me). ableton live 4, max msp and even a motu traveler(i know, not software). you guys have pigeon-holed me as something i'm not. ah well, the story of my life it seems. anyhow, sorry for the mishap.

BKK-OZ wrote:Its pretty obvious that you are NOT working with a legal copy. If you are, just contact MOTU and they will send you out another copy of the manual...
Well, Frank, this is how you get the manual you want. Honestly, if you are honest, pay MOTU for a new copy and you will be just fine.
Cheers,
BK

This is one of the most entertaining threads in a LONG time... Thanks much, Frankie-Boy, for getting this started!

:D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

(Nope, that still won't get you a free ride. If you own Live, use that in the meantime. Buy DP, get the manual; simple as that!)

However you decide to judge your own honesty, just reading your posts in this thread shows clearly that you are lying to us. Condescending, too -
just like most liars. And oh, so innocent - underneath it all. I feel bad for your friends.

Found mine on the sixt island, after solving the riddle with the perpetuum mobile, fighting the temple knights and discovering the holy grail. In the cave right behind there's a lever that opens the gate to the teleporter-chamber on the third island. All I had to do then was activating energy by translating the manual to sanskrit backwards and decoding the coloursceme at the ceiling.

Don't know what is all the fuss about.

I lost my manual once.
Found it on the floor in a dark room and almost broke my toe.
Never leave your manual on the floor.

Another one who methinks lets out secrets too easily. You shall be shunned and scorned for this, Denne. The next knock you hear on your door will be the rest of us, coming for retribution.

Can't anyone around here spell S-E-C-R-E-T?

Of course, the irony is there probably ARE enough manuals to go round all the legit DP owners AND all the freeloading DP vampire scum like frank bimples, albeit not all will be up to date ones.

I mean, I have three tomes myself: DP3, DP4 and DP4.5 + their respective quick start guides- although I think I have lost those..

They are a nuisance in my studio - I don't need a door stop. And even if I did I could use my old G4 (it's all it's good for - oh and ***80GB*** backup storage woooo!)

But you know, life is hard enough for us all and it is especially hard to get started in music whether the aim is to make a living or just as a 'hobby' to bring a little melody into the lives of those around us.

Maybe I will take my old DP manual round to frank's place after all .... and set fire to it right in front of his greedy little eyes.
